so I took AUD on 7/6/12

My results came back as follows:

Understanding the Engagement – Comparable

Understanding the Entity – Comparable

Procedures and Evidence – Comparable

Evaluation and Reporting – Weaker

Accounting and Review Services – Stronger

Professional Responsibilities – Stronger

That is compared to those who scored 75-80

I got a 68. Is there any point to appeal?

AUD - 50, 68, 79 I'm DONE!
BEC - 81
REG - 78

Even if you scored a 74 – you shouldn't appeal.

Wow, the comments look like they are in your favor but I agree with Jeff. I have never even heard of someone winning an appeal even with a 74. That just sucks. It doesn't even seem right that you got a 68. It's almost like their comments are just there to rip your heart out even more and make you angrier because you pretty much feel like you should have passed based on their comments unless your “evaluating and reporting” was just too weak to overcome.

SIMS – Weaker

The SIMS are worth 40%. You likely performed poorly on these.

I got two strongers and a weaker for MCs for REG last time and also only got a 68. The reason for that is that I got weaker on SIMs – and it was not just a little weaker, it was more like the german-diver-back-flop weaker. 68 was also almost the exact score I predicted when I came out of that exam.

So its not all that strange.
