I just received a failed score on my AUD – 68 🙁

I heard new materials (international stuff) is going to be added in 2011, can someone advise me as to what material I should buy to prepare for the 2011 AUD exam? I already have Becker 2009 and I really don’t want to spend too much money on getting another Becker again just for the new area.

Appreciate for any suggestions.

I failed also. Back to studying for AUD…. I am going to take it the first day on Jan.4 and do all the Becker Questions again and all the Cpareviewforfree questions again. Do all questions at least 4 times.

I failed with a 74. I think you will need the new materials though. I had Becker 2010 and since my materials don't expire until Dec 2011, they sent me the updated 2011 materials for free. I just went through and started looking at the materials for AUD and they have a few sections in there that are a bit different…like the IFRS stuff is in there in a section of lectures, etc.

I just got to know I failed AUD too. Just a 61 after all that studying for 6-7 weeks. I used Yeager. Anyone suggest any other material? Or any additional material to go along? This is just depressing, a bad start to my road to becoming a CPA.

on top of it..I dont think so Becker alone will do!..unless you're really smart in remembering all the answers!..Without concepts you can't really pick the right answers as well!…:(…m scared!….

I failed Audit by 2 pts and wanted to find out what should I expect to see from the new format that they will start using in 2011. From my understanding AUD will be the same except that it will not have a simulation but 7 task items to complete. Also how much of an effect will international standards be with AUD?

Failed AUD for the 3rd time with a 68. Not sure as to how to overcome my weakness in the subject or what more is to be done. Any suggestions or advice would be helpful.

My understanding is that the IFRS rules tend to be more general and in most cases more common sense than GAAP so I don't foresee it as a major issue. There'll be a little more to keep straight. I'm curious as to how the new “simulations” will work.

I must have done something miserably wrong to have gotten a “61” after putting in almost 150 hours of studying.

Followed the lectures, did the homework, did wiley test bank, went through sims, memorized reports but a friggin 61! I feel like i just wasted 2 months of my life for nothing.

Do you guys think I should re-take it in January before I take any other ones? What can be used to supplement with Yaeger? Anybody recommend Gleim? Im still trying to get over this hit of devastation.

I have no clue how I got a 71. I rewrote the chapters, watched lectures, did MCQ multiple times, felt the exam was fairly easy.. read the questions thoroughly.. I have no clue where to begin.. I don't feel I could have studied more or missed anything.. weird!

I think I must have failed those simulations because of how comparable they were to FAR. I had numerous Journal Entries. I'm going to schedule to take it at the end of FEbruary. There is NO reason to take it any sooner. We won't know the results until Mid till Late March anyway.

I guess I will start over with my new Becker AUD materials and even study FAR journal entries. I can't believe I passed FAR, but failed AUD. Weird!
