    Hi all,

Happy Friday to all! Hope everyones studying is going well and good luck to everyone taking there test this weekend!

I have had a good week on my studying towards retaking AUD on 4/14. The ninja notes are great and i have been supplementing them with the 2012 wiley test bank with as many pop quizzes as possible. Any other suggestions?

So I got my actual report back and it showed i was “weaker” in 4 areas, “comparable” in one and stronger in another.

Does this change anyway I study? I have spoken to a few people and the 63 I got resembles a lot of work left to be done….which is a little disheartening because i worked so hard to prepare for it. Do you think thats true?

Either way I am not giving up and will continue working at it to accomplish my dream of becoming a CPA.

    Suggestions, advice, all welcome!

    Hi Journey,

When I decided to take the CPA exam… I also decided to start with AUD, it was my favorite class in college and for me it was the easiest…

When I solicited the exam; I solicited AUD and FAR in my first NTS.

I studied for AUD, took it and flunked. Since I had also FAR on my NTS didn't want to lose it… Studied for FAR, while studying for it solicited another NTS for AUD, BEC and REG.

I took FAR and quickly after repeated AUD… AUD the second time around was SOOOOOOOO much easier' many of the questions made A LOT more sense and easy to read, comprehend, and answer… Due to the fact that I had FAR fresh.

Why don't you try taking FAR first? It worked for me… Good luck…

Also don't be afraid of FAR…. I know it is a lot of material… But it is basically; Principles of Accounting and Intermediate Accounting mixed together… and you already know this; you are just reviewing.

    Hi Jokami

Well Because i have taken BEC and have the materials…i want to stick with and not introduce another new topic. I am going to after FAR after I pass on of these…which i hope i do.

I have been struggling with these exams since 2008. I went on hiatus for a while from it, as failing pretty much demoralized my confidence but now i am back and here to stay until i pass it.

    I am determined.

Any suggestions on how to get those last 12 points? I guess I am farther than I thought.

It's the feeling that I did so much and still came up so short.

I have an NTS for AUD and BEC. I am going to stick with those two, and when I pass one of them then I will go to FAR, then REG

Right now I am trying to take one at a time and have the confidence to pass AUD….and stay motivated

Ok so definitely have to take those first.

Well then… AUD is basically opinions, analytical procedures, independence and sampling… the day before taking AUD… I discovered the website cpareviewforfree

Let me tell you… it worked wonders!!!! I would go further by saying that many of their questions were almost identical to the real exam… try them out.

Where I am from, the Becker program gives live reviews and the professors let you contact them if you have any doubt with the material… My FAR professor will always take the credit for my passing grade… She is amazing.

You will do fine. Can't say anything about BEC though… I know I failed that one and there will be a rematch!

There is a BEC movement going on… A couple of us who have to repeat are planning to take on April 2 and through our joined force we will create a synergy and kill this beast… If you want to join us, you are more than welcome… So far the ones repeating are: Tootsie, Givemesleep and me… 🙂

if you haven't already done so, rewrite your notes

i agree with jokami, cpareviewforfree is good! they had a step by step actual audit on the site that just brang it all together for me.

also, print off all the different types of reports and read them daily

    REG-65,71,74,73,70,74,79
    BEC-60's,60's,69,71,76*,78
    FAR-67,66,65,79
    AUD-54,60's,65,83*,69,80
    *expired

    DONE
