To prepare for AUD (and FAR for that matter), I did all of the Becker MCQs and supplemented with the Gleim test bank. All in all I did about 3500 MCQs and felt as though they were comparable to what I saw on AUD. In fact, several showed up word-for-word on the exam. I will say that I felt that the Becker material skimmed over an important topic that was on BOTH of my written communication tabs…I'm just lucky that I paid attention in my audit classes and have a good memory. As far as the Becker final exams go, I can only speak for FAR, but my actual score was 14 points higher than what I scored on the practice exams. I hope that formula holds for AUD because I scored 85 and 88 on Becker's finals.
@AU1222 I am studying for FAR right now. I just hope to get a 78-82. Your FARscore of 97 is quite impressive. You were either born with accounting genes or you you have a photographic memory. 🙂
Thanks, Boston. I think it's a combination of being a good test taker and the fact that the AICPA curves the hell out of FAR. I'll tell you the part that I am most proud of is that I managed to pass FAR while working full time in public accounting and going to school with two small kids and a husband who travels…I could teach seminars on how to multi-task ;).
I took Audit on Wednesday. It will be my last exam IF I pass… All of my friends/family are congratulating me on being done after 7 months of rigorous studying. Every time I tell them off because I DON'T KNOW IF I PASSED YET! I don't want to jinx my score. Ugh- I just want my result. Every other profession has a much better system of grading their exams…
