IcanpassParticipantRetook AUD : first teslet was really easy, 2nd got harder and so did the 3rd but overall quite confident on them. The sims were horrible! I never praticed for them! Not sure it would have made a difference. Now it's a long month wait for the score. I am crunching numbers of possible outcome a 73/74 keeps on poping up! Dam!!!
BEC & REG & AUD Passed FAR Studying

msm3579ParticipantJust took Audit this a.m..
I was surprised by the multiple choice, most of what I focused on using Becker material was not on the exam.
The sims were not bad as bad as I thought, I had to utilize the research material to help answer question on other tabs of the sims.
I finished the exam with an hour to go!
On to REG!
FAR: Passed 4/12 | BEC: Passed 5/31 | AUD: Passed 7/19 | REG: Passed 8/30

JNeblettParticipantHey msm,
I'm taking AUD tomorrow in the am. I am pretty nervous as I have procrastinated and pretty much crammed everything in during the last week or so. I have been doing so-so on the Becker MC (averaging 70%-80%), but they still seem pretty tough. I have been doing a bunch of 20 question random exams from cpareviewforfree.com.
Do you have any suggestions, areas to focus on or anything? What were the sims like? I just plan to do several more hours of MC questions, a few Becker sims and then review problem areas/the important stuff.
Any help would be awesome!
Thanks

potatogunParticipantDo the practice final tests for sure. For the sims, my test had more audit type work rather than theory. I had to look at bank confirmation forms and decide what to do with it.
I also had to look at receiving documents and propose adjustments.

I would not spend to much time on memorizing all of the mnemonics. Pick the key ones and go from there!

AnonymousInactiveRe took Aud on 7/17. First testlet was hard, second got harder, and 3 was as hard as the second one. Sims were ok, but I had to use the research tab to answer some. I was hoping to start out with some easy question, but that was quickly thrown out the door. I am crossing my fingers that I am in wave one, and that I passed. Best advice, make sure to get plenty of sleep the few days before the exam, you need to be well rested or your brain can not pick up on the tiny details in the questions.

IcanpassParticipantI agree other than 4 or 5 questions that were the same word for word the becker MC were not even close.

I used the Yaeger AUD Cram (7 1/2 hours) for my exam on July 9th. I came out of the exam singing! One of the simulations that Gary went over in the Wiley book was on my last simulation, word-for-word!
I have to give Dr. Phil Yaeger all of the credit. He is a giant in my eyes. He is always there when I need him.

IchabodParticipantI took Audit on the 16th and came out of the testing center completely wiped out. I decided to record my time spent on each of the sections just to see how long it was taking me.
Part 1: 15 minutes (it was pretty easy)
Part 2: 40 minutes (challenging, but not soul crushing)
Part 3: 50 minutes (again challenging, but with a couple of real curve balls thrown in)
Part 4: Somewhere around an hour. The tabs were challenging, but nothing that wasn't doable.
Part 5: Really challenging, I didn't notice how much time I took on this one due to the following. I was using the spreadsheet function and in trying to link one cell to another I got an error. I thought it was rather strange, so I clicked ‘ok' on the error message. The program allowed me to go back to the sim, and I could click around in the tabs without a problem. So thinking everything was ok, I went back to what I was doing. Opening up the spreadsheet again I hit ‘=.' Four error messages popped up and crashed the computer. I figured I should check with a test center employee before freaking out, and thankfully she was able to get it restarted without any data loss. From what I could see anyway. So I took 5 minutes to try and calm down, since I was inwardly freaking out. I finished up and went out for a prime rib and a couple of drinks.
So some advice, don't try to link the cells in the spreadsheet by clicking!

AnonymousInactiveFeels weird to finally be here posting on the Audit forum. After taking FAR this week, I thought AUD would be a nice break until I started the lectures and homework questions. I forgot how tricky AUD questions can be.
So from reading the posts, it sounds like I am in for some serious memorizing and no calculations?
