Thank you so much! I think I am more stressed about AUD than I was for FAR. With FAR at least it's numbers, with AUD they mess with you with tricky wording!

    REG - 82 (11/09)
    FAR - 72 (2/27/10), 79 (5/29/10)
    BEC - 69 (7/9/10), Retake 11/26
    AUD - 75 8/28/10

Ya, you have a TON of time for AUD due to lack of calculations or very little compared to FAR or BEC material. I think I had like 1.5hours left even after staring at my sims for a long time.

    FAR 92 - AUD 91 - REG 94 - BEC 86

see you didn't pass REG and retake on 8/31. Same as me–same test date. Passed all but REG, so have not seen test yet.

Can you PLEASE give me some pointers on areas to study that you were not prepared for? or areas that were difficult to you on the exam–Sims, calculations, distracting info, etc.

BTW, AUD was my toughest exam. squeaked by with a 76 and remain grateful that i didn't get the dreaded 74……

thanks in advance, and good luck to all…………….

I planned to study for two weeks for AUD, but unfortunately I ended up studying only one week and doing a mega-cram on my 15-hour flight back to LA.

I focused on re-reading my notes and taking the supplemental MCQs in becker.

I especially dedicated a little extra time to evidence (especially the vouching and tracing techniques – nothing to memorize, but understand the logic behind it – it helps a lot).

I did not memorize any standard report. I was lucky not to have to write any standard report in my WC, or maybe not, since I scored weaker than the average of candidates passing with 75-80 in my WC.

Also nail internal control. Evidence and internal control make up at least half of your score and they're related to pretty much everything else in the exam.

    FAR - 7/26/10 - 95
    AUD - 8/10/10 - 88
    BEC - 8/31/10 - 88
    REG - 10/15/10 - 95

big shot cpa, are you in a NASBA state? You probably would have to wait until monday to really check, but the 16th does sound pretty late to be in Wave1.

I think VA is an independent state, but I'm not sure they got their scores today. I only heard about CA and IL…

    AUD - 8/10/10 - 88
    BEC - 8/31/10 - 88

I see you got an 88. How did you feel walking out of your test italianCPA? I felt great after mine, but it's not making me feel any better now.

    AUD - 74, 87; BEC - 84; FAR - 78; REG - 79

    GSU:

I felt not good at all walking in, because I studied only one week, I was jetlagged, my head was somewhere else (I came this close to postpone it and stay in Italy till the end of August but my mom basically put me on a plane on the 9th!).

Once inside I relaxed, and actually had a much easier time than in FAR. I actually walked out feeling great.

It was probably a bit of luck in the Qs, the mega-cram on the plane the day before definitely helped too.

You cannot even compare the amount of time I studied for FAR with the amount of time I studied for AUD. Also, never done auditing in my life (not even a class in college) and always done financial accounting in my career.

And here I am, felt good getting out of AUD and not so good getting out of FAR….and actually, since I probably lost 6-7 points in my score in the WC (scored weaker), I'm not so sure to pass now.

    FAR - 7/26/10 - 95
    AUD - 8/10/10 - 88
    BEC - 8/31/10 - 88
    REG - 10/15/10 - 95

Wow, you must be very smart to score that well on AUD with no background and little preparation. I'm glad to hear that you felt great about the exam after walking out, it makes me feel a little better. It seems that how you feel doesn't always match up with your score. Just tired of this wait, wish I was testing in California.

As for FAR, don't worry as I felt horrible and ended up with a 78. Was certain I would make about a 60-65.

    AUD - 74, 87; BEC - 84; FAR - 78; REG - 79

    GSU Josh:

    I don't think it's about being smart.

AUD to me was all logic. In FAR, for example, you either know or do not know an answer when you read the q.

In AUD you can read it, easily eliminate two choices, and usually one is always the most logic.

Also, you do not wish you were testing in California, believe me. Yes, we got our scores at the beginning of the weekend instead of on Monday night, but my application took 4 1/2 monhs to be approved, one appeal on my transcript and two additional classes at a local community college (for which they took 6 weeks to put the transcript in my file).

I got my NTS on July 21. Had they been more efficient, I could have tested on July 1 and tried to do all 4 exam sections in this window (since I'm not working now).

    FAR - 7/26/10 - 95
    AUD - 8/10/10 - 88
    BEC - 8/31/10 - 88
    REG - 10/15/10 - 95
