I felt the same as @Michelle119, my 2nd testlet was a lot harder than my 1st by far. My third was the same as the second. My sims were kind of weird which worries me.
@michelle119 – oh good! That's exactly how I felt. I felt like I missed a bunch of the second testlet so was kinda shocked when the third one came and seemed difficult but thought I was just losing it by then and wishing they could all be like the first testlet which I blew through! =) By the third testlet I was thinking, “I thought there was only one more level of “hard” and these seem like they went up one more notch. hahaha
I'm from IL and I FINALLY received my score when I looked this afternoon. Passed with a 77!! I am offically done with the CPA exam!! As for the borderline score theory, I don't really believe it. I've heard people who received their scores around here today and their scores weren't borderline. I honestly believe it depends on when you took your exam. I took mine the afternoon of 8/30 so that what makes me believe why I was put in wave 2.5.

I am signing off once and for all! Thanks for all of your insight and support over the passed 7 months. I think having people to communicate with going through the same thing is a key to passing/surviving this exam.
After the difficulty of the 2nd two testlets, my sims seemed much easier… I had a ton of time leftover and took my time… I'm hoping I just didn't screw up something on my 3rd testlet…. So now I'm worried that something happened in the 3rd testlet or I totally bombed the sims… my writing communications weren't bad at all and I knew both topics actually so I was glad with that… who knows maybe we all did so well they had to make sure that nothing went wrong in grading!
@michelle119 – I'm with you! As my aunt said, they are probably just holding them so they can take their time admiring the perfect scores. hahahahaha
Just hoping it's not like my co-worker said (he's a good ‘ole boy oilfield worker) and it's “takin' 'em that dang long to count up all the red x's”! I punched him in the arm. =)
On a note about wave 2.5/borderline… Jeff has said multiple times that we aren't in that region yet so this is just extras that didn't get out on the first time through….
I honestly don't remember if the testlets got harder or not… I guess I wasn't really looking for that.. I'll check it out on my next exam.
Just out of curiosity, which exams are supposed to change the most in 2011? I heard of this big overhaul or whatever and I'm stuck with all this 2010 becker crap, I'm a bit frustrated.
mst – becker is getting writing (I think) and then both FAR and AUD are getting IFRS. They are also rearranging some things amongst the tests, I wasn't really paying attention since I'm determined to not be testing in 2011….. I do know that you can get “new” Becker 2011 materials if you still have time remaining on your license (either 12 or 18 mths from point of purchase) you can get the updates and an e-book for free but a hard copy is going to cost $20… again not 100% on this just since I'm avoiding it but I have a lot of friends in the same boat….
