    cpa journey: Thanks a lot for the feedback. I definitely know what you mean about the simulations in trying to figure out what they want. I sure am glad that I'm taking this test when simulations are only 20% of your grade as opposed to about ~40% in 2011.

    Good luck on score release day!

    Audit is the devil! I have taken all 4 sections, passing REG, BEC & FAR the first time through. Audit, not so much luck! I am so tired of sitting here waiting for that final score to come out! I swear this one is taking longer than any other section, though I know it isn't! REG took 81 days to post for me! I took AUD on 7/19, so barring any misfortune, I will see if I am done next week.

    The very best of luck to those who are still plugging away. Keep at it, and if I messed it up again, I will be pluggin' away with you again soon!

    🙂

    NJCPA – did you do exams or was that in study mode? The reason I ask is in study mode scores tend to be higher since you are getting the solution after incorrect question and would not answer the question incorrect if it is reworded for the next couple questions. If you were scoring 90s on exams I would expect a higher grade on the actual exam.

    FAR - 95
    AUD - 82
    REG - 94
    BEC - 84

    gabe1475, I did all my exams in study mode. Wiley gives you the answer after an incorrect response but Gleim does not.

    My 3rd study approach for AUD was to do ONLY MCQs…I think the study mode is better because you need to get the answer ASAP so you know the question and what the answer is and why..

    BEC=77, FAR=78, REG=73,74,80, AUD=70,69, 84 DONE!

    In studying a specific topic/weakness I agree with you, but as far as assessing being ready I think the exams are better as the higher scores may be misleading, unless you adjust to higher value as far as being prepared such as the scores you were getting. I was getting worried when I saw the 90% you attained prior to taking auditing, but study mode explains it.

    FAR - 95
    AUD - 82
    REG - 94
    BEC - 84

    I hate audit so much because it hates me back lol. I'm only scoring 70-80 on questions and I will not be able to do them the 2nd time before my exam. Hoping for a miracle on Monday! About to start A-5.

    Just took the AUD exam for the second time today and hoping that I passed. I didnt see a change in the MCQ's, whether they got harder or easier seemed consistent overall. Oh the lovely sims, I thought they were pretty difficult so I don't know how well I did. I used the research tab for both written communications so I am hoping I get as many points as I can.

    I am scheduled to take FAR Oct. 30th and I wish they would release these scores earlier so I do not have to end up possibly re-taking AUD next year since I know November is going to be pretty busy with trainings and the holidays.

    @bigshotcpa- I'd put a long day in today, for sure. Also, read any supplemental information you can; but I'd definitely look at the reports and opinions like it was going out of style.

    @DocHalladay

    Thanks for the tip. I just finished A-5 and about to start reviewing. I will do everything I possibly can and keep my hopes up! I noticed that you are taking FAR on Aug 31, I can say that I felt well prepared for FAR after 1.5 months and I will be surprised if I failed it. I got so sick of the process that I only studied for 8 days for AUD.. well definitely not enough, I don't know what I was thinking.

    @big shot cpa,

    I hope you passed FAR too. I'll be surprised if I passed it. AUD is challenging in its own right. My score the first time through the homework questions is around 60%, but I think the more I practice, the more I will see the call of the question. So many mneumonics and they all have “C” in them!!

    Do well on AUD this week. Post afterwards!

    @CPAWannaBe- Thanks, I will give it my best shot but I know that I just didn't study enough! But I promise myself to not give up during the exam and give myself 3 hours for the simulations. When it comes to mnemonics, I find them useless. I only used FAR mnemonics maybe on 1 multiple choice question so I don't think it's worth it. I also scored in the 60s-70 on A-3 & A-4, all these internal controls are just too much. I will sure post after my exam!

    Stupid Question here but I mark every question for grading… are you not supposed to do that?

    I don't think there's such a think as mark for grading, are you talking about mark for review? If yes, you don't have to do that.

    Mark for review is a tool for you to know what questions you want to review, it has nothing to do about grading. In fact, I heard some speculation stating that AICPA might use it to see which questions you might have guessed because you marked them for review. I don't think this is the case but marking for review is not necessary unless you want to go back and review your answers if you have time, but who has the time?
