Hi, I’m going to start studying for AUD tomorrow with 5 weeks of time before my exam. I’m using the wiley book and wiley test bank online. Any advice on what parts to focus on? I just plan on reading Wiley, doing questions in the book, and practicing the online test bank with the part corresponding to what I study in the text. I also plan to take notes from the online test bank that I can read over on tougher topics.

I think I just passed BEC and really hope I can pass AUD in November so I still have a solid 15-16 months to knock out AUD/REG which I expect could take a few retakes because I already bombed REG with a terrible score (won’t even post it because its that terrible). Thanks for any advice.

    Quest to be a CPA

    BEC-74 (7/13),
    REG- ?? (8/13)
    AUD-TBA
    FAR-TBA

If you are only using Wiley book, I recommend always reading the standards when the chapter prompts you. It is a lot of detail, but it is very helpful. If you can afford it, I found the Yaeger cram (which uses Wiley book) very helpful in passing. Also, maybe consider adding NINJA notes or audio as supplement.

CA CPA - All because of the journey listed below
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    FAR - 53('10), 8/25/12 79 PASSED!
    REG - 66('11), 69('12), 12/06/12 77 PASSED!!
    BEC - 58('10), 74('12), 01/05/13 77 PASSED!!!
    AUD - 43('11), 66('12), 69('13), 74('13) 7/29/13 85 PASSED!!!!!

(Combinations of Roger, Yaeger, Wiley Book, Wiley TB, & NINJA Notes)

I am actually starting my review week today to sit for AUD on 10/28. I also am using the Wiley book, focus notes, and test bank. I will say that modules 4 & 5 are the most difficult sections in the book. Modules 6 is mainly over SSARS and was easy for me, which is probably due to my experience actually preparing compilations and reviews.

My advice is to set a schedule of deadlines on when to complete a section, and attempt to stick to the schedule. Good luck, and don't forget that the window has been extended to Dec 6! This will give you a little extra time to prepare if you were planning to take it November.

    CPA EXAM: DONE!!!!
    Ethics Course: Passed
    Application Mailed: 3/16/15
    Professional Conduct Exam: 97
    Certification Date: 4/2/15!!!
