Hi Guys! I took the Audit exam in May 2014, scored 67,used Becker! And was pretty much bombed! I was really sad cause I did the MCQs 3 times and was scoring in 75-80% on them. My score report says Weak in simulations! Anyone has some tips as to how one should study for a retake? I have kept aside 3 weeks to study for Audit retake, Wont be watching any videos anymore, will focus on questions and getting all the facts right! Should I use any other review course or stick with Becker, and nail those areas I was weak in! Your advices really appreciated! 🙂

Had a similar problem. Get ninja mcqs for fresh questions, you might be scoring well with becker because you might remember the answers. Get to know AL better, you can use it on sims to your advantage, not just on the research question. People here have been able to apply AL on average to 3-4 sims. Lastly, practice those sims, they might be hard or boring, however this is your weak spot. Hope this helps!

BEC: 5/21/14 82! PASSED HALF WAY THERE!
    FAR: 4/2/15 80! Almost there!
    AUD: 69, 74, 4/3/14 81! PASSED
    REG: TBD

hey! I took audit at the end of February and then again at the beginning of April (so it was kind of like i didn't stop studying) and I have the same simulation both times to make sure you understand the simulations you missed! I would read through areas in the becker book that I was 100% clear on and then stopped doing all becker questions and just did the entire wiley test bank and went up 11 points! (73-84) Good luck!

There is nothing much you could do for the simulations. Its a random selection as to what simulation you will get. Thats why you cant prepare for simulations, all you can do is study the material inside/ out so you can nswer any kind of simulation.

You will need to score comparable in simulations , its 40%, so scoring weaker is not going to cut it.

Use your NTS to get access to the AICPA full version of the AL. This will allow you to see all of the literature that you can see on the test. Becker does not have the complete AL in their program. Just try to get more familiar with it and also be sure to allocate your time well so you have at least 2 hours for the SIMS. 🙂

    AUD - 73,91
    FAR - 79 - Thank you God!
    BEC - 73,79!!!!
    REG - 92 whatttt??!

I used Becker review + flashcards, Ninja Audio, Ninja MCQ supplement on BEC and REG.

    Done! Praise God!

Ues the AL for EVERY SIM, not just the research ones. You can find answers word for word in the AL. Just make sure you leave 2 hours for the SIMS and search as many different ways as possible until you find answers. it may not work on some of them, but it will work on others and you could earn easy points that way.

CPA Exam - Finally DONE (November 2014)

    REG (07/19/14) 69 (11/29/14) 87!!

Along with using AL, make sure you put some kind of answer in EVERY simulation. At least make an attempt because you never know, you might get just a few points that you need to get through it.
