    Took audit on Sat and it was nothing like I expected. I was scoring mid to upper 70’s on the Becker final exams and was feeling a little nervous going into the test. I started the first testlet and it was like I saw on BEC (easy questions). Then to the dreaded second testlet which I was sure would be signifcantly more difficult. I took a break, got some water and prepared to wrestle with this section for an hour. To my dismay it was also “easy”, the 3rd testlest was also easy.

    I know the test is adaptive and should be getting harder as I go to each new testlest (at least that was the case with BEC), but these questions were so easy there is no way I got less than 80 of these correct. The sims (with the exception of 2) were also pretty easy. I’m not sure whether I just studied real hard and was well prepared or if I was one of the lucky few to get an easy test either way I’m not complaining.

    BEC - 78
    AUD - 91
    REG - 80
    FAR - Nov 26th 75 I'M DONE!!!

    gr8dane, maybe Becker final review would help with the concept for the simulation?

    When I studied I wasn't too hung up on the sims, about a week before the test I looked over some of the examples with Becker just to be familiar with the format/layout of the questions and the types of questions they may ask. To me it didnt look like the simulations were any different conceptually than the material covered in the multiple choice questions, just asked in a different way. So I made sure that I was scoring well (80% of higher) on all of the homework/quizzes/progress tests/final exams, etc. I felt like doing that prepared me for the sims, whether it actually did or not remains to be seen but I feel confident that I did well.

    I took the advice of many and just did the MC, but during the actual exam I felt unprepared for the SIMS. Maybe it works for some, but it didn't for me. For the most part, the MC is theory and concepts, but with the SIMS it was the real life application. So, if I have to do a “do-over” on this exam, I'll make sure I ask myself questions like “HOW would I actually DO this.” Maybe this will help me identify gaps in my understanding. Not sure if this reply helps. I'm trying not to disclose anything from my exam…

    @cah2c, are you from Virginia?

    BEC: 87 (7/13/11)
    FAR: 86 (8/31/11)
    AUD: 99 (10/6/11)
    REG: 88 (11/30/11)
    Ethics: 100
    (Illinois)

    Used Becker for all four parts. Supplemented it with Wiley Test Bank for FAR and REG (HIGHLY recommended) and NINJA notes.

    cah2c, thanks for the advice! do you have any recommendations on how to study on the simulation?

    Okay, for those of you who have taken the exams before..whenever you take a break, does this take away from your 4/3 hour exam time? Or can you “pause” the test to go get some water or use the restroom (or smoke a cigarette in my case)?
