Hi,

I lost credit for my Audit recently, and it made me cry. Passed in October 2013, been a long time since.

I am looking for advices as I only have 8 weeks to prepare and pass, or I’ll lose Regulation. Is 8 weeks of preparation sufficient to pass again? Please advice. I’m currently with Becker, and thinking of a supplemental material for the course. WYB or Ninja? Thank you.

Only you will know if you are capable of passing it again in 8 weeks. On that note, many people have passed audit in 8 weeks on their first attempt. So it is possible. Don't lose hope!

I used Roger Lectures and mainly Wiley CPAExcel test bank. However I did use Ninja test bank for audit for a few days before the exam because I feared I was memorizing wiley's questions. Both were very good to me. Can't really say which was better. However I highly recommend you get Ninja Notes. Rewriting Ninja Notes helped me out tremendously.

@Jasmine – My study time for AUD was around 7 weeks. In 7 weeks I was able to complete all of Beckers videos, homework and SIMS, as well as, work all of the MCQ and SIMS in Ninja. I did not take very detailed notes while watching the Becker videos and just tried to quickly get them done and purchased Ninja Notes + Audio + MCQ. I worked through all of Becker first while reading the Ninja Notes for relative subjects and listening to the Audio on my commutes. After finishing all of Becker I moved to Ninja and worked the MCQ and SIMS every chance I got until completion (working MCQ sessions of only new questions because I memorize questions easily) and then tried to LEARN my weak areas. I ended up scoring a 96.

Disclaimer: this was my second exam (after failing FAR) so I had a fire lit, hoping to keep that burning.

I was able to finish it in 2 weeks, so it is complete doable! I only used Becker for all section so the exam, but only you can really know if you need additional material.

You've passed once before, so I am sure you can do it again! I think as long as you hit it hard 8 weeks should be complete doable!

I studied for AUD for 8 weeks with a family and a full time job. You can do it. I recommend getting the Ninja materials to supplement. The Ninja Audio was a huge help for me. I could recite portions of it verbatim while I was taking my exam. The Ninja MCQ is significantly cheaper than WTB and the information links are awesome!

How long did you prepare for AUD the last time you took it? Everyone is different but you already know exactly what it takes for you personally to pass. If you did it in 8 weeks or less before you're good. If not, you'll need to seriously up your studying.

I would say never go over 8 weeks. That's the sweet spot. Learn it. Take the test. Regurgitate it.

I spent almost 12 weeks on FAR and developed anxiety over waiting for the test to come and re-studying weak concepts.

Full disclosure: I was always too chicken to schedule the exams up front. I would study through the entire Gleim book for about 6 weeks and then try to schedule the exam a week or two out, at which time I would start furiously cramming. That way I knew I had a least a comfortable glance at all topics. I admire the people who can schedule it far in advance because that would (and did) drive me crazy.
