Hi everyone!

I am taking Audit on August 26, I am using the Becker material. I have listened to the lectures and done the homework for the book and also for the final review book and went through the note cards. I took the first practice exam last night and did not do well at all. I need some advice on what to do next.

I recently got my BEC score which was a shot to my confidence level also so I am not sure what to do. This morning I purchased Jeff’s notes for Auditing, I have not had a chance to go through them yet, as I am trying to work full time while studying.

I plan to take the other practice exam tonight, is this a good idea if I didn’t do well on the last one? Should I be reviewing something else instead?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙂 Thank you!

I am in a similar situation to you… the first time I took a Becker practice exam for audit I got like 60s on it… I've been mainly doing MCQs since then and just did one at the end of last week and got in the low 70s…. I've been using cpareviewforfree.com to mix up the questions so I'm not just memorizing the answers of Beckers since I feel like they reuse a lot of them from test to test. Don't let the BEC grade take you down, just think of it this way that you know how much effort you put into that exam and now and try and crank it out for the next few days. Is there any way you can take a few days off from work to put in quite a few more hours of studying to get your confidence level back up? Good luck!! I am sitting on Thursday as well, and am spending about 8-10 hours per day studying. I would also recommend taking some time off if possible. Good luck either way.

I am taking mine on Friday. I have went through all the lectures and have done all the MCQs. I just did the first simulation, and did ok on it, but not great. I am planning on taking my first practice test later tonight (so there will be no interruptions). I am planning on reading through the book quickly and then doing MCQs. Try doing some quizes to see where you are weak in areas. I did not do any progress tests and I did two last night I scored 81% on Ch. 1 and 78% on Ch. 2 I was worried I had forgotten all the information, but that does show me that I still need to go back and review. I am worried what my results will be when I take the practice exam, because I did not really do great in Ch.3 & 4 and I know that is where a lot of the information comes from.

Thanks for your replies everyone! I appreciate your thoughts. Unfortunately I can't take tomorrow off work, I am taking Wednesday off though so hopefully tonight and tomorrow I can get about five hours of study time and eight hours on Wednesday and then I will have to make a three hour drive to my hotel, get about an hour review….review for about an hour on Thursday morning and off to the testing site I go.

After I get done here I am going to take the second practice test and then review the right and wrong answers. Tomorrow I will go through Jeff's notes and Wednesday I will do quizzes and such. So here is hoping!

I will let you know how I feel coming out of the test but I can't promise it will be accurate because I felt ok coming out of BEC and it was complete disaster…LoL! Thanks again! 🙂
