I have a strong disagreement w/ my instructor regarding following statement:
“When the audit involves more than one location, team members in different locations do not need to be included in audit plan discussions as long as audit plan meeting involves the key members of the audit team including the auditor with final responsibility…”
I’ve looked at bisk textbooks and online sources & while certain discussions regarding material mistatements among engagement team members are “required” & I can’t find anything that says “all members” are required to attend.
All I was able to find on this matter is that the meeting should include engagement partner & other key members at minimum, so I said the statement above isn’t wrong, but my instructor keeps saying it’s wrong since not all members are attending the meeting in the scenario mentioned above.
Honestly he isn’t the most competent instructor, but I was wondering if there are any meetings/discussions that I am not aware of that requires all members to attend without exception.
Thanks always guys!
