I admit, Audit is driving me crazy. Hence my 200+ missed questions. Any advice for my category scores? Thanks.

Average trending 63, have not touched the SIMS yet, the second % score is the trend score while the first % score is average score, shudder. I am taking this in 10 days, on November 3 and am trying to move on to SIMS tomorrow ideally.

I think one of my problems is trying to reconcile the differences between Ninja's categories and how Becker categorizes Audit.

If you haven't already I would suggest also looking at the “detailed report” of your Ninja MCQs and checking your scores there. It will give you specific trouble areas and you can focus on those categories with a customized session. I don't have experience with Becker but categories might be more comparable with the topics broken down further.

I know some people say SIMs aren't worth practicing but the last time I took audit, my MCQs were rated ‘stronger' and every topic was either ‘comparable' or ‘stronger' when compared to passing candidates. On SIMS I got a big fat ‘weaker' and scored a 74. Learn from my mistakes!

Haha my detailed report scores are logically, also mediocre.

And yes I totally agree with SIMS. For most sections they are 40% of the score, nearly half your grade! No reason to ignore them.

I wouldn't put too much weight on your scores! While not exactly comparable, I went into FAR with a 42% average and a 67% trending but passed with a 78.

In your case, I would focus on getting category 3 and 4 to trending in the 70s. They're pretty packed with questions and those are among your lowest percentages. I don't know what else you've got going on in your life but 10 days should be enough to get where you want to be!

I went through my detail report and starting from the top of the report, I reworked the multiple choice for every category listed that was below an average of 75 until I got at least an average of 75 on every single category.
By the time I was done, I did almost 5,000 mcq and my average overall score was an 87 and my trending score was 100 (hence I also made it my goal to answer every question correcly).

It is tedious and time consuming but I swear by this method! It helped me so much on exam day. I find out my score November 4th so only time will tell!

I am trying today and literally I cannot escape the 60s for sections 3 and 4. Advice? I am trying very hard but they throw the best questions at me for keeping my score low.

I took audit and went from a 47 to a 73. The one thing I did differently was stop obsessing over the scores. The one thing I did differently the second time around, even though, I did not get a 75 was that I focused more on learning the concepts. I did questions in sets of 10s at first and then I started doing sets of 30. The areas I kept getting questions wrong I slowed down and actually looked at why I was getting those questions wrong. Was it because I was just tired and making silly mistakes. Trying to rush through a testate so I could take a break or was it because no matter how many questions on that topic I worked I still got wrong because I truly did not understand the concepts. I took a step back and would either read the textbook, listen to the blitz videos or google the concepts in an effort to find a youtube video or past A71 posts that explained that concept. When I got the 47 I had gone through all questions and my score was trending in the 90s. When I got my 73 I think I had at least 600 questions more in the Ninja test bank that I had not gone through, and I really did not care. My score was trending in the 70s but for the first time I actually felt like I had a good grasp of the concepts.

That will be my approach for my next retake. I also invested in the Ninja plus videos.

I think sometimes we get so hung up on the scores and getting high scores we don't necessarily focus on learning the material.
