Hi Everyone,
I am currently scheduled to take audit on 8/20 and I am trying to decide how I should review during the next 12 days. I have gone through all the Becker lectures and worked all the homework problems. My scores on the homework problems have been anywhere from in the 50s to 90s. I have no audit experience and this section has been extremely difficult to study. There have been times that I have watched lectures or read the material and retained none of the information. I feel like I know the basics of the material, but I don’t have a great understanding which would allow me to answer any curve ball type questions. Would it be more effective for me to do all the MCQs again or should I go back and spend more time re reading the material? When I took FAR I focused more on re reading the material instead of reworking the MCQs and this worked good for me. However, I feel less confident with Audit then I did for FAR and I really need to figure out the best approach for these next two weeks. Also, can anyone give me suggestions on what I should focus on during my review?
On a side note, does anyone ever feel like they want to punch Tim Gearty in the face? I especially get annoyed with the videos where he tries to sell other Becker material. The upsetting thing is that we have already paid $3,000 for this material and he has the nerve to try and push more product on us. I also hate in these videos that he wears a suit jacket that is way to big on him. I mean the guy must make a decent living and your trying to tell me he can’t afford a tailored suit? He looks like a kid who is playing dress up with his dad’s coat. He reminds me of a used car salesman.
FAR - 90
AUD - 82
REG - 93
BEC - 80
