I too have had trouble with AUD. I have not received my most recent break down of the test (which is mostly useless). But, my last results i was in the 80+ in many categories, 75+ in a few, and below 75 in Sims. Which probably means that I really blew it on the sims. I passed all of the other exams in the first try and have been emotionally depleted by this last part. Someone who understands my particular situation, or has a similar story and put together a passing score please comment on what put you over the top.

– I used becker for the first 3 and AUD. Then bought becker flash cards and wiley test bank with the 12 book.

– I average 90+ in becker progress test, and 85+ in wiley tests.

– I made passing scores on both of beckers pre tests.

@hawkmante, I really wish I had something to add. And I don't, except I'm in the exact same boat as you, this will be my 4th AUD attempt. I got a 72 this last time too and my score report showed stronger in every category except 1 that was comparable. Weaker in SIMs. I scored better on this score report than the last one, but had the exact same grade…hmmm.. The only thing I can think to do different is writing out notes, and rewriting them towards my review. I'm also going to seriously read every chapter like 3 times. I've already completed Becker Lectures w/intense notes, MCQs, and SIMs, and I've done all the Wiley MCQs once. I have 3 weeks until I retake and I really don't know what else to do now…. except read the chapters, but it's hard to concentrate that long =/ I wish I could help, but I'm in the same boat! How can we both pass every other one but audit?!?! I don't get it…

how long do you think I should wait to retake the exam. Obviously the first time I can take the exam is July 1. Which is close to 3 weeks away.

I think it just depends on when you think you'll be ready. I would start thinking about your game plan, and how long that game plan will take. Treat the material like you've never seen it before. I have the exact same materials as you. Another thing I am going to try, that I heard some good things about on here, is the cpareviewforfree SIMs for AUD. I will say that Cpareviewforfree sucks for pretty much every section, kills your confidence and all that sort of stuff. But, for AUD, their questions were pretty good. So I'll pay the $10 and buy their SIMs. I refuse to buy anything else, I bought Yaeger my last fail and got the exact same score! $10 is my limit this time around. Also, this will be my 11th exam, and from taking so many damn exams I will say this…. every single CPA exam I have taken, 100% of the questions asked were covered in Becker's materials. I just need to use those materials differently to see the “bigger” picture to nail SIMS.. sorry for the rant.

I passed AUD with a 92 last month. I can't speak for the simulations you received, but on my exam, I was able to use the research tab to a great degree for 4 or 5 of my simulations. For AUD, the research tab can be very helpful – not only for the research questions. Make sure you get your free 6 month subscription to the AICPA professional literature (it looks different, but its what the actual exam links to)and practice with it. I only learned of using the research tab for simulations other than the research questions days before my exam. I am glad I did. Good luck.

NINJA notes! I can't say enough how they really help you understand the concepts and focus on those topics heavily tested on the exam. But those topics are broken out in small pieces in the notes that allow you to retain and learn the information instead of going through pages and pages of Wiley book to get the same.

I was an auditor for 4 years, so AUD was the easiest for me to pass as much of the material was familiar to me. However, by reviewing the NINJA notes over and over, I was able to cement that working knowledge in a way for me to access in my brain during the test.

Lastly, I always struggled with statistical sampling, I could never get it right. With the NINJA notes, they were broken down in a way that finally that lightbulb went off and I understood.

I just bought the REG NINJA Audio and listened to it for the first time this morning and it was awesome. I have heard others say they found repetitively listening to the NINJA audio helped them immensely.

Okay, so i scheduled my exam for July 5th. Im fresh from taking the exam about 2 weeks ago and studied a ton leading up to it. You guys have any suggestions on what I should do. Flash cards, ninja notes & wiley/becker 100q tests? Or should I go full head on and work through the entire wiley book. thanks in advance. I need three points in three weeks.. help
