So I will be taking my Audit class next spring(2019), and I want to try to knock out the AUD exam very quickly after graduation (May 1). I was thinking of trying to take the exam early June. I’ve already put hours into studying my Audit textbook, working problems, and I have followed along with Rutgers Accounting Web Lectures. I plan on using the Ninja materials starting in April, but I am curious how much material I will have to cover that i will not learn in a typical audit college course. Other plans of attack and any other advice is appreciated.

I did exactly what you're planning on doing. I had an audit course in Spring (2018) and graduated on May 5th (2018) and took the audit exam two weeks after – probably studied 80 hours. Given your plan of attack, you seem like you'll be more than prepared if anything. What I did that I would recommend you doing is studying for the final like it's a cumulative final even if it's not. After all, everything in your audit course plus a surprisingly ton of information will be testable on that audit exam.

You'll definitely be prepared if you follow through with your plan! Best of luck!

You will know nothing about auditing from either your college course or CPA Prep..that said nobody does..until they actually work on audits..

You should be fine on the exam with the test material though

Thanks for the advice guys, my boss at my internship was an Audit Manager at KPMG and actually teaches audit courses so I'm gonna ask his opinion and maybe post an update here.
