How much new information is there on the new standards.,I am re-taking the test in July and I am wondering how much time is needed to learn the new material. Will three weeks be enough?

Simply put it is a major change. There are quite a few threads on it here. Do your study materials have an update? I use Becker and ninja notes and they both are updated for the July change.

Regarding the ability to pass if you study for 3 weeks. Who knows. You need to remember that you need 75 more points. Your post didn't state what your score was and any weak areas that need improvement.

My suggestion is to study like you haven't seen it before. I think you might be surprised what you “thought” you knew that becomes clear your second time around.

    Good luck!

I disagree about it being a major change, I studied materials for both exams becker book (a & b). It should be a easy transition moving into the new material.

    B - 85 (4/2013)
    A - 97 (5/2013)
    F - 83 (7/2013)
    R - 8/2013

It's not a biggie … some tweaks to some terminology and the audit report, of course.

Know the changes – but don't lose sleep over it.

    Hi Jeff,

So let me get this straight. Internal control, management assertions, professional responsibilities, sampling, and the review and compilation sections have not been affected by the new clarity standards? So can use my previous flashcards and self notes for those sections?

I would advise you to use updated materials that cover both pre and post-Clarified Standards.

If you have the Becker software, as long as you are still under your license time limit, they will provide you with a free Audit update. If you have NINJA anything, Jeff will provide you with free updates for life! You can't beat that!!!

Okay great. I have the updated becker material for section B, but I can't get the flash cards update for Becker because I bought them off e-bay. I was just wondering if I could still use my old flash cards on internal control and management assertions?
