Audit :71

Just got my Audit score and ended up with a 71. Majorly bummed as this is my first fail and I thought I had been prepared. I guess it goes to show that feeling like you passed= a fail. I was kinda surprised because I had an 80 on Beckers final exam so this is the first time I’ve gone down substantially instead of up. I was planning on doing REG next but it looks like I’ll loop back towards Audit. I wanted to get AUD & REG done before I started work in January but now I’m not sure this is possible! Any advice on how to move forward or similar experiences would be great.

    FAR 4/9/12- PASSED
    BEC 7/13/12- PASSED
    AUD 8/16/12- Ughhh 71, Rematch: 90!!!
    REG-12/6/12 PASSED

Bummer… Sorry to hear that! I remember reading your post about the AUD test so I thought for sure that you were going to pass!

Seeing as you got a 71, that's a matter of a few multiple choice or just 1 SIM. That being said, I think if you do a quick review in these next few weeks and take it again in October, you can definitely pass it!

Sorry to hear about your misfortune but you and I both know that you can pass it the next time around!

As for REG, I think you can still get it done before January. I know that everyone has their “beasts”, but if you can pass FAR, I think you'll be able to pass REG. Lots of the concepts are very similar between the two tests.

    REG (5/31/12) - 90
    FAR (7/12/12) - 85
    AUD (8/23/12) - 91
    BEC (10/13/12) - 85

What's your email? So I'm not sure about what to do because I don't know if I should just try to use my remaining time to take down REG since its more time intensive than AUD or if I should retake AUD in a month like Oct. 10th. I'm concerned since I'm worried that I won't be able to pass 2 in one testing period. What do I do? 🙁

    BEC 7/13/12- PASSED
    AUD 8/16/12- Ughhh 71, Rematch: 90!!!

Got a 74 here. Don't know what to say when i saw it. However, I anticipated it cuz I was so unsure about the SIMs. Anyway, re-match in Oct. I am pretty confident that both of us have a high chance passing it the next time. SO PLEASE HANG IN THERE.

Yes best of luck to both of us on the rematch. What a shame. What will be your restudy strategy?

@mg I feel your pain. I got a 70 on AUD few weeks ago. I was bummed bc it was my first part ever. Studying again for it now. I dont have my BEC score yet today so I guess Im borderline, you just have to keep going. Im sure youll get it next time.

On the bright side (for you) your USC Trojans beat my Syracuse Orange on Saturday, now that REALLY bummed me out.

You're in good company. I walked out of the AUD test feeling pretty good but ended up with the score below. If I have to be completely honest, the 5 points from passing was probably in part from the relief and feel good factor of passing FAR, which led me to feel over-confident about AUD. I'm starting to think AUD is the most difficult test to gauge your performance in because of the lack of computational MCQ. No worries though, we'll beat it next time!

    BEC - 84
    AUD - 83
    FAR - 82
    REG - 81

Yeah such a bizarre exam, whenever I feel okay it doesn't turn out good haha. Ugh. Okay, so for re-studies since this is my first one, do I need to take a full month to restudy for Audit ( the same amount of time I originally studied) or do I cut down the time? What do you guys recommend? Now I'm trying to figure out how to fit AUD & REG into the next window since I hear I need at least 6 weeks of study time for REG.

Would it be unwise to try for October 1st, take a few days off and then hit REG aiming to take it at the end of November?

    FAR 4/9/12- PASSED
    BEC 7/13/12- PASSED
    AUD 8/16/12- Ughhh 71, Rematch: 90!!!

One month should be sufficient time to restudy AUD. Let's say you spend 3 days per chapter so that's 3 days x 6 chapters = 18 days. The following 2 weeks can be spent on review and crunching MCQ. If you start tomorrow, you can retake AUD second week of October and have 6 weeks to study REG.

    BEC - 84
    AUD - 83
    FAR - 82
    REG - 81

I really thought I passed. I got a 72. 🙁 I hate this test. I did so really well in high school and college. I don't know what is the deal with me and these test.

@mg – Definitely do both this coming window. Plenty of time. Get my email from God (jenuno) if you want to chat offline.
