Hi all,

I was wondering what the differences are between Audit 2013 and Audit 2014. I have the audit 2013 book for becker and have ordered the 2014 version (it was only $15), however, I want to start studying now. I dont want to waste too much time studying old material so I was wondering if anyone knew exactly what the differences are between the 2014 and 2013 tests. Thanks!

I believe they are dropping the old standards and only testing the clarified standards

I checked my course content for the 2014 updated becker software against the 2013 materials and all the lecture times are pretty much the same they just shuffled a few sections from one chapter to another. It looks like if you had becker book version b for 2013 you should be ok, as the book did not contain pages from the old standards, but there were lectures on it. I am just going to use my 2013 version b book as I already have notes in it from the lectures for my audit retake in January. Anyone else notice this as well?

I have the Becker 2013 B version of Audit and Since I purchased the Becker in 2012, I am not eligible for the Updated Textbook of Becker Audit 2014 :(:(

But I know there are only deletions and not any additions.

I just want to know the changes in textbook majorly for A1 and A2. If you'll can help me with that.

Okay. This is confusing. Wiley Book says one thing and Becker says another!

I know from Wiley and from reading here that ONLY the clarified standards will be tested beginning Q1 of 2014. No old standards, right? Well, I stumbled upon this website and it says that:

“The AICPA has not given a definitive time period for this dual-testing, but has stated that it will continue until the Clarified SAS fully replace the old SAS (most likely at the end of 2014).”

“The AICPA has stated that it will continue to test the old auditor’s reporting model through 2014.”

Please HELP! To study both or to study only the new clarified??? Can someone explain why is there such a difference between Becker & Wiley.
