    Hello all,

Can any of you pass along some AUD exam tips. I have a few friends who walked out quite confidently and did not pass the exam, which is making me very nervous.

I am using Becker and take the exam on Oct 10th. Any specific matter that I should focus on in these last two weeks.

    Thanks a lot!!

Don't count on getting your score in the middle of December, you may get it in January, which usually means bad news! I'm waiting for FAR and REG for the middle of December, if I don't get them, then I'll know it's not good….lol

I'm starting this week to study for AUD again, failed the first time with a 70.

I used Yaeger, but I DON'T think I can pass AUD with Yaege? Yaeger is an excellent review course for BEC, FAR and REG, but not AUD.

What AUD review course do any of you recommend?

You're right, I did notice a handful of questions on which there appeared to be two correct answers. Those were the questions I took the most time on, trying to discern the subtle nuances between the two answers I thought were correct.

Tampa, I thought Bisk was very good. I know a lot of people seem to not like them, which I don't understand……they are cheaper than Becker, that's for sure. And, I don't know how anyone can argue with Bob Monette. The guy not only knows the material, he's got personality too.

Not to knock Phil…..I purchased his SFAS 141(R) lecture because my 2008 Bisk review didn't cover it.

I used Bisk as my sole source of review material and it was wonderful for AUD.

Thanks, I'm going with Bisk. I have to try something new!

AUD is the only section that scares me!

BEC, REG and FAR require rules and calculations and you know when you are having trouble coming-up with an answer.

But with AUD, you just don't know for sure if you have the right answer! When I took AUD I had no idea I was performing poorly. I thought I things down solid…….boy was I wrong. The scary part is I don't even know what I don't know.

I hope I can make a difference with BISK.

Yeah, give it a try. What do you have to lose, besides a little money. Monette is the rock star of FAR and AUD review, I think. I don't know, I've found it's easier to swallow all this boring BS when the guy presenting it to you has some personality. Do what he tells you to do, and drill the hell out of MCQ, and you'll probably pass.

I've gained an appreciation for Monette after sitting through some of the other Bisk instructors for REG and BEC. Not to say they are bad, but with Bob it seems to come naturally. I'll never forget his explanation about probability theory & random statistical sampling when he used his “barrel full of nickels” story.

hahaha….I definitely remember the barrel of nickels story. I'm actually going to miss Bob. A little.

Oh, it is a beautiful day in the neighborhood…no studying to do, just the long wait for my last exam score. Will it be passing or will it be failing? The wait is torture. At least we have the holidays to distract us from the wait! For now, time to enjoy the freedom and do some holiday shopping!

    REG (85) 7/09, BEC (85) 8/09, FAR (82) 10/09

Did anyone ever feel like there was a mistake on an exam question? I had a simulation on the recent Audit exam in late November where I probably triple checked the answer choices and none of them made sense. I think that there was a typo or error on the answers. Either that ot I was completely off base.
