I’m really confused on tickmarks. I cannot find any AUD sims for Tickmarks. I really need the practice. Help?

I'm not sure how to answer this; when I was studying for AUD, I don't remember tickmarks being covered, nor ever having to answer a question about them or any Sims. Same with the exam.

If anything, know that tickmarks are used to identify and explain issues, so another accountant can see exactly how the audit opinion was reached based on procedures performed.

Each firm and each auditor uses different tickmarks. When Disney was being audited years ago, the tickmarks were outlines of Disney characters. There's no standard set of tickmarks.

Focus your studies elsewhere, lad!

Thanks for letting me know. I'm using Roger, and really there is a paragraph about tickmarks and that is it.

My only problems I've honestly seen are the flowcharts that deal with Internal Controls and Sims that deal with procedures or “real-world” criteria (never done auditing in real life), and of course some of the auditing procedures for evidence.

My advice with the flowcharts- look at which icons are identified, and try to find a trend in which symbols are used for different categories. You don't need to understand the flowchart to be able to identify a trend or pattern.
