I am now studying for AUD…

I am using Becker Test Prep, and also use Wiley MCQs.

With this being my 3rd time taking AUD, I am determined to make this attempt my last.

I am considering supplemental study materials and am on a budget, does anyone have any suggestions?

Some area that I feel that I lacked in is:

-Audit correspondence: Exactly when the letters are to be delivered, who is the correspondence drafted by, and who is it addressed to. —something I would like to see (Im a visual learner) is a timeline of the correspondence and a break down of to whom its addressed to.

My last exam, I scored Stronger on Procedures and Evidence. All areas were comparable except Understanding The Entity, where I was weaker, in addition to the Simulations

Do you have the ninja notes? If not get them, rewrite them multiple times. Its what got me through AUD attempt #3.

Take notes on all wiley mcqs it is painful but worth it in and of itself and during the last week…I also took notes on the wiley book…probably ended up with 8 legal pads full. Ninja audio was very helpful as well.

There are some very good drafts in the Becker book. Use a few note card to just outline the format.

Example: To

From

Date

Correspondence Title (report on IC)

Who is responsible for what (i.e. Mananagement is responsible for the entity and establishing proper internal control. Auditor is responsible for reporting on management's assertion of IC).

However, you also want to note when the audit reports on IC….Public vs non-public etc.

Spend more time understanding this area, and practice your SIMS but please do not ignore your strong areas either.
