I tend to analyze things a whole lot, and when I took the exam, I noticed that the questions were different from FAR. FAR is pure knowledge, and Audit is so different. First you have to get the knowledge,but then apply it in a logical way, and that is what they test. FAR was more like Asset=Liab plus OE, and the exam will test exactly that,but Audit will ask you if Asset-Liab will equal OE. Of course in a more complex setting. Monkey you are on the right track, and I hope I start thinking like you within the next 3 to 4 weeks.

Trish remember this is a forum with people with so many different opinions. And its their opinion and you take it with a grain of salt. I read that post and a lot of those were crazy responses.

There are many people that take time off and go back to work. Its not something unheard of. I had some coworkers at Deloitte that went part time after having kids.The firm was always very supportive.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply here. I was starting to panic a little or maybe a lot!!! I will welcome your advice and take it with a grain of salt. I will start applying for jobs once I have a section passed after that conversation lol. Some got hot and heavy at that thread, I was just looking for friendly advice and sharing experiences. THank you for sharing 🙂 and good luck on ur exams

lol, that thread was fun. Some CPAs think they are the shh, because they passed the exam and they behave like robots. They want everyone to follow their footsteps if you dont, you are considered a cheater and is not fair. You should not get a job. I guess is human nature. When I was working at the SEC, the attorneys wouldn't say hi to the CPAs cause they did not have a JD. The attorneys who went to ivy league colleges were kind of assh,, with the attorneys that went to state college. Can we all just accept the fact that we are different?

lol, Well said Martin thanks. I get what Law (I guess he is pursuing a law degree) was saying but there are ways we can say stuff without being an umm you know. A simple, “my opinion is that looks better on resume if you work while taking the exam”. I feel silly, but I was offended by his choice of words.

In all, this forum is phenomenal though, great advice and positive ppl helping each other when upset abt exam/jobs etc. Jeff did a great job!

74 #1… MCQ Weak, Sim Strong

74 #2… Sim Weak, MCQ Strong

This is a tough one people usually do bad on Simulations,so by increasing simulation exposure, they pass the next time around. Which review course are you using>? Have you tried ninja mc?
