MartinParticipantIm so traumatized by Audit that I dont think my 82 average is even good enough. I can answer most questions on every test bank and get at least an 80 to 84,but I can not call the answer before I see the choices that I have and that worries me. I get the right answer by recognizing it in one of the 4 choices. I dont know if Im just paranoid like that and this is just normal, or I need to study more. I was going to take it on the 13th, but I moved it to 20th, which is the cutoff. I took FAR and got a 71 the first time and 85 the second try. My only hope is that BEC and REG are not as bad as these two.

jasbeerchMemberI can understand what you are saying…that's what I was doing…not believing my knowledge..self-doubt.
Only AUD is giving so much trouble…this was supposed to be my last exam
but I have to write REG (credit expired)….
I will be having a big party after clearing AUD exam….
I like the caption “YOU NEVER FAIL UNTIL YOU STOP TRYING”.
I totally believe and I am following that great thought…..very valuable lesson…
Anyway, soon will write our success stories….
Keep up the spirits !!!

acctaksParticipant@jasbeerch if you're having trouble with AUD then my suggestion would be to go beyond your study material .

I had questions verbatim from them. Becker shortens them but they could literally just put the standards in the book and I would have been better off. Hope that helps.

knicks92Memberanyone have any advice on how to approach the transaction cycle section. I feel like im getting hit by a train in A4. Getting questions wrong more often than I usually do in Becker and cant seem to comprehend the reading material/tell apart any of the answer choices in the MC. Feel like a lot of the MC is not even directly explained in the reading and needs to be inferred from what you read

MartinParticipantCPA Title in 2015, you are correct, but I thought that on compilations you dont do inquiries?
knicks92, the only way to approach cycles for me was to actually learn or memorize every single one of them. Assertions were easier cause you can see patterns, but i did not see many patterns on cycles.

MartinParticipantknicks92, I hope we can get a better answer cause it sucks to retain all that info, and now Im also getting them wrong after 3 weeks of covering other chapters.

MartinParticipantknicks92, I notice you have taken REG and BEC. if you had 51 days to study full time (8hrs per day) for one part of the cpa exam, would you go for BEC or REG? I have no experience in neither of them, and finished college 13 years ago.

knicks92MemberREG would probably be harder than BEC in your case, but 8 hours per day in 51 days is plenty of time for either one. I honestly found REG to be a lot easier than people thought (and AUD to be harder than BEC and REG), so I guess everyone is different. Idk maybe I just got lucky with an easy test (only used half the time). But, BEC would probably be more of a “sure pass”.
BEC is only 6 sections all much shorter than the 6 sections in AUD. Plus, there are no sims you have to practice for. I went into BEC w/o practicing the written communications and I felt they were extremely easy (as long as you can write properly, it doesnt matter what you put down as long as its somewhat relevant). I actually only needed about 25 minutes to write the 3 essays and would have gladly taken more time for the MC if given the chance. I would say the only hard part for BEC for me was memorizing IT terms, but again I think I got lucky with my exam in that section.

MartinParticipantknicks92, thanks, I will go for BEC as I need a confidence boost after FAR and AUD.

knicks92MemberI am just getting pretty nervous about AUD because I am pretty confident with A1-A3 and am really struggling with A4 and I have my exam in about 3 weeks. I wont be studying full time other than the weekends (class and work during the week). I think I gave myself bad luck going into preparing for this exam thinking it would be easy since people say AUD is the easiest section and I have yet to understand why people believe that to be true.
