Camille8291, the way to approach these questions about adjustments before the report is issue will be to think of the latin word pendiente, which means pending. If something was left pending as of 12/31, and now you can resolve it because something happened before they issue the report, now you can adjust for the pending situation. If nothing was pending, but something happened that will affect the FS before the report is issue then you need to disclose it. Since the FS are not yours, you need to ask management to disclose it for you.

jasbeerch, Audit is tricky as hell. When i took the exam, I did not recognize a single question as being similar to any of the questions I have seen on Becker,Wiley,Ninja and Roger. It seems that when they created the exam, they only wanted to see if you have mastered the material or not. Can you think like an Auditor? I guess this is the reason why some people get an almost perfect 99 or barely pass.

Communication with predecessor auditor … would either oral or written do for audit purposes? I noticed that in review or compilation engagement, though not necessary either would suffice. But for audit engagement does this still apply?

Answer (A) is correct.

RSI is information that the designated accounting standards setter has determined must accompany the basic financial statements. Thus, authoritative guidelines for its measurement and presentation have been prescribed. The auditor should inquire about whether the RSI is within the guidelines, (2) whether methods of measurement or presentation have changed and the reasons for any change, and (3) any significant assumptions or interpretations (AU-C 730).

@plymuff … from memory … I dont think review or compilation needs to communicate with predecessor auditor

The auditor should request to speak with predecessor auditor to express opinion. I cant remember if its oral or written communication but the successor auditor may provide information such as working paper etc

Trish!! I have finished reading the book!! I am currently working on NINJA SIMS and am thinking about you! Q76 is on possible ratio explanations. Lol. I scored a 60 on it. Omg. Are you using Gleim??

@ lady… That was fast. The book is so boring to read, takes me forever, I am using Gleim and ninja! Working on every question that I can find in regards to procedure to detect misstatement and controls to prevent no fun
