Here's the explanation from Wiley. I wonder if the answer is wrong.

This answer is correct because while disclaimers are allowed, qualified opinions are not allowed; in addition (not included in this question) the auditor may choose to withdraw from the engagement due to a scope limitation.

this is my last day to study for the exam. I don't feel ready and yet in the last couple of days I always feel I need more time.

I came across to this ques and these type of ques really does its job to throw me off. Not b/c it is necessary “hard” but that one word can make the answer incorrect.

Management's written representation to the auditor in connection with a governmental audit would most likely include:

    a.

Representation that all known noncompliance had been reported or negative assurance that other noncompliance likely does not exist.

    b.

Identification of management's interpretation of compliance requirements that are subject to different interpretations.

    c.

Negative assurance that the government has complied with compliance requirements.

    d.

A statement that management had identified and disclosed all material government programs to the auditor.

I chose D and it is wrong just b/c it included the word “identified”. The correct answer is B.

    FAR- PASSED
    AUD- PASSED
    REG- PASSED
    BEC-

You got to do what you have to do!

D is incorrect because it states that the auditor has identified and disclosed ALL material gov't programs

    @ Finchlt

the question is weird… but in my book a scope limitation is either a disclaimer or a qualified… the auditor can also withdraw from the engangement (but usually disclaimer or qualified) bc one of the preconditions of the audit is to give access to all people and docs relevant to the audit!

EDIT: Forgot the fun part of auditing …..its all abt the auditors judgement, materiality is auditor judgment FML

    Thank you, Trish!

I worked tons of Ninja MCQs and tried to see why the answer is correct/wrong. I also did most of simulation questions. I made huge amount of notes while working the test bank, and before going to bed I would go though them every day. I tried to read through Wiley book, but I can not say I retained 100% of info- test bank worked much better for me. Also for SIMs research worked great for me for at least three SIMs.

All I can say is if I could do it – you guys can do it too!

@brownie19 That definitely is something I haven't tried yet and actually maybe that's why I get frustrated and anxious by the 3rd testlet. I think doing 90 a day and going through them area by area would be beneficial. I appreciate your help! Also, do you think I need to get an upgraded version of the book? It's 2013 and I assumed it wouldn't change much but maybe it has.

@Trish I didn't try using the AL during the Sims I hadn't thought about that. Maybe that will work! I feel like I dominated the Sims when I was studying and then during the test apparently I hadn't prepared enough because a question about adjusting entries threw me off.

Just received my score report. As suspected (see my audit experience post), I did a phenomenal job on the simulations. IMO they were pretty easy especially if you know how to navigate through the AL. However, I did terrible on the MCQs; I was weaker in 4 categories.

I'll officially restart my studies on the 1st. I don't think I have the mental focus or energy to study this weekend. I'm at the finish line; I just need to cross it. Let's get the most out of our study group. Passing is possible!

@ hopeful see Nora post about AL above? for instance if you get a report to fill in the blanks that can easily be found in AL. The sims killed me too I did better then people who passed the exam on MC but failed the SIMS. I didnt use AL only for research. So that is def something you/we can change on next exam. I understand how frustrating this is for u, we are all in your shoes . The SIMS are a killer. From what I read and asked in the forum (and so did everyone else) is to do MC until you have a nervous breakdown and then do them some more. Do sims also and try to understand y u got something wrong. For the SIMS there is no real way to prepare 🙁 also, I looked into best material to study sims, what I found is that no material in the market has a positive feedback for sims!
