ParticipantThanks, GuitarMan. Did you use Ninja MCQ for your BEC and FAR? If so, what were your average / average trending on those when you sat? I was averaging 70% and trending 85-86% when I sat for my retake of FAR and got an 82. So I'm trying to see how Ninja percentages typically correspond to the actual score you're likely to get. I'm just afraid I haven't done nearly enough MCQs but I'm trying to get in as many as I can. By the time I sit, I should have about 1,100 or 1,200 done between Ninja and WTB compared to my 1,700 for FAR.

Participant@scared_cpa When i took FAR and BEC i only used Becker and was getting a trending score before my exam around 70-80%. I recently felt with AUD that i should get some additional practice material because i was seeing the same questions over and over again in Becker. Strangely, my trending and average scores are suck at 75% right now even though the past couple of MCQ sessions I scored mid 80s.
You should focus more on learning the material than rushing through to get as many MCQ. I have seen a lot of people be like “I did all the MCQ and still failed wtf!” and it because they just rushed through it all without taking the time to learn what they did and didn't get wrong.
You should also check out the Trending score vs Actual score threads on here. Sometimes it is motivating to see that people, on average, score higher than their trending and average score, but there are people who score below it so it is hard to say.

ParticipantYeah, I'm trying my best to absorb all the knowledge I can from the questions. I really enjoy Ninja's explanations as to why a question is right and the others are wrong, along with the definitions. Reading those over and over again help me. My trending and average percentage are exactly the same. I don't know if that's because I haven't gone through that many questions yet or what. I read in a thread that when your average and trending are farther apart, you typically score somewhere in the middle which was true for me with FAR. But I don't know how that works if both percentages are the same. I'd really like to get my trending into the 80s at least.

ParticipantI know how you feel, I just started using Ninja yesterday lol. I started my final review Wednesday or Thursday although I didn't begin hard core until Friday. From now on I'm just sucking it up and buying Ninja every time, plus give myself 2 weeks at least of final review time.

ParticipantThere is 9 hours of Ninja Plus videos for AUDIT. I am using that as my final review to beef up my notes and the ninja notes… I passed AUD almost 2 years ago and I still remember the MCQ's! I think I did all the MCQ's 3x and took the exam 2x before I passed. I was hoping with this retake there would be some deeper level of understanding (like it has been for other sections I sat for more than once) but nothing. I guess I'll just focus on not letting them trick me into picking the wrong answer. Ohh and hope I don't get a Document Review SIM.

ParticipantHow does ningamc compare to wtb and Becker. Taking my exam on Friday not sure if it's worth purchasing for only a couple days of use.

ParticipantI hate feeling like there is a degree of luck with the sims you get in determining whether you pass or not. I've put in the time. I've busted my ass and sacrificed and really learned this material. Am I a master at AUD? No. But I have the knowledge to pass this exam but know that they can make the exam as hard as they want and depending on the sims I get it may cost me a passing grade

ParticipantI feel your pain. I just received a score of a 73 with strong on MCQ and weak in simulations. Keep grinding.

ParticipantI think Ninja MCQ blows WTB out of the water. It is the only thing I used for my FAR retake and you can see it bumped me up 15 points. In my opinion, WTB questions are just odd. There's no other way for me to explain it…they aren't like the questions you go through with CPAexcel and they're just, well, odd. I found Ninja to be more similar to the actual exam and all the references help give deeper information about the material being tested in the question. I would suggest getting it. I am about 500 questions in and will hopefully have at least 800 done by the time I sit. I'm currently averaging 77 and trending 79. I don't know if it's good enough to pass but I'm trying my best. I know when I first started using Ninja for my FAR retake, I was in the high 50s struggling to get into the 60s but with time it whipped my butt into shape. Since I'm trending in the upper 70s with only a few days of practice, I would be elated with my progress if I still had another week or so to review. But I'm hoping by really trying to understand the questions, even though my percents aren't that great, I will still have a fighting chance of passing.

ParticipantAnyone in here waiting on a March 8 test score release? AUD is my final exam and I'm waiting to see if I'm done. Tomorrow could be the end of this journey and the beginning of another. I'm a nervous wreck haha.

ParticipantI'm taking it in a couple days, and its my last section too. I'm super nervous.
What was your exam experience @Richard?
March 6, 2017 at 4:31 pm #1506102Lauren Gregory
ParticipantIm waiting for my results too and it's my last one as well. I am pretty nervous because I finished early and never did or even came close to on the other sections.
