    Doing nothing but MCQs this week. However, I can't seem to access Wiley on my laptop…yet the app works? Anybody else having issues with this?

    I'm still struggling with understanding some of the transaction cycles. Vouching and tracing still confuses me. I don't feel like I really understand how everything goes from point A to point B, and reading the Becker chapters doesn't seem to be helping me. Are others have similar feelings on this?

    Which version of Wiley do you have? I purchased Gold and was under the impression that the Wiley Test Bank came with it. I called Wiley Tech Support and they said Gold doesn't include the test bank, but they “throw in” the MCQ through the app. So…if you have a tablet its really nice, but not as great through a phone (especially with FAR and BEC with all the calculations). I'm sure you can call Wiley and ask to upgrade, but probably will cost more.

    FAR - ?
    AUD - ?
    BEC - ?

    I am using Surgent and loving it especially the lectures. the purchase cycle and sales cycle lectures are the best. I finally get it. taking AUD on the 7th after taking it in 2007 so 10 yrs after haha. I got 67 then and didn't study much as I am doing now. this time I have a family, kids, etc. wish I did it years ago but oh well.

    “To trace is to follow the course of development of some object. In accounting, and especially in auditing, the development of an estimate, a schedule, or a document is often reviewed to determine the validity and correctness thereof. For example, in order to test that all sales are recorded, the auditor would trace shipping records to sales invoices to the sales journal.” Tests for completeness.

    An example of vouching would be going from the sales journal back to the shipping record. Tests for existence.

    An easy way that i have remembered this, come from Jeff Elliot himself, is that the “T” in trace comes before the “V” in vouch, as does the “C” in completeness comes before the “E” in existence.

    T=C
    V=E

    Does anyone happen to know what they mean by expected rate? It apparently has a direct affect on sampling size, but it doesn't really give a definition (Roger book)

    @Teal here is what the NINJA definition is:

    “The expected rate of deviation is the auditor's estimate of the ratio of actual deviations to population size. Sample size is directly affected by the auditor's expected population deviation rate (i.e., as the auditor expects to find more deviations in the population, sample size should increase).”

    Still somewhat of a gray area for me as well.

    I only have the Wiley test bank, as a supplement to Becker's full course material. I just like the fact that Wiley auto gives me an answer and tracks my progress better than Becker.

    @jmhohio thanks! That definition helped some.

    I think my biggest problem areas yet are understanding sampling, as per your post above, vouching/tracing, and just the MCQ's and SIMs that deal with following a certain procedure or control through the transaction cycles.

    I'm a week out from my test, so I think I'll be re-reading those chapters particularly this weekend.

    Hi all,

    Anyone testing on October 28th? I am using becker and 90% done with A2 without sims. I am thinking to supplement myself with NINJA mcqs or WTB, not sure which one would be better for review stage. Trying to finish rest of the 4 chapters of becker by october 15th.

    Any tips would be greatly appreciated. This is my first try for AUD.

    @jmhohio Used the audio to listen while on a long drive, and reviewed the notes when I made it. Previously, I had gleim the first time I took audit and NINJA MCQ and WILEY MCQ. Still got a dang 73 -_- . I invested in Becker now, Im gonna do practice test from GLEIM. Follow Becker's program + becker final review and review my notes in between.

    This is soo costly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Praying that I pass this time! If not, don't know what else. Also trying to make sure I'm not just skipping through MCQ's but understanding the topics.

    @SONA IDK if wiley testbank has changed since April 2017, but the questions were so easy to me and I still got a 73 -_- Gleim's questions are very technical even on topics which they SAY the exam isn't going to go in depth on. I think NINJA MCQ is a good buy, I'd buy it again but I don't want to get boggled down with too much info and never go through it all.

    It's so frustrating doing GLEIM MCQ sometimes! -_- making me re think this journey, I almost prefer taking the AICPA exam over a gleim MCQ sub set lol so much extraaaaaaaaa
