BourneParticipantYou have plenty of time. I'm taking AUD the same week as you are, just began studying on Monday, haven't purchased NINJA for AUD yet. I wake up at 5 am to study for about 2 hours, go to work and study on my lunch break, then study after work for about 2-3 hours. Weekends about 6 hours.
If you're really struggling, you should consider getting up earlier before work to study if you're able to. I've found early mornings are some of my most productive hours of the day.
If you want to finish the CPA exam semi quickly, you have to want to become a CPA more than you want sleep. I have only taken FAR last week and will take AUD in December, so my studying habits aren't tried and true, but just a little example/ideas of the final month or so of prep.

Jen-JParticipantHey there! I start studying for AUD a week from Sunday, so I was going to order my book from Becker this week. It looks like they are changing their books for FAR, AUD, and REG in November and their final review books for those 3 are changing in December.
Any Becker people doing Audit right now – If you have 3.1, does it have notes in it about information changing in January? If so, do you know which modules? I'll buy 2 sets of books if I have to and can wait on my Final Review book, but right now I'm planning to sit January 2nd so I have to start studying on time.

MariaParticipantHi Jen:
If you have 2017 book, I don't think you need to buy new book. Just take note what is changing between 2017 and 2018. Here's what I found from RogerCPA website:
Auditing and Attestation (AUD)
Blueprint: There were no new content areas added or removed from the AUD Blueprint for 2018. However, one content group and 12 representative tasks have been revised to reflect the terminology changes in SAS 130, An Audit of Internal Control Over Financial Reporting that is Integrated with an Audit of Financial Statements. For example, under Area IV, A, 3, the task has been changed as follows: “Prepare a draft report
for an examination of internal control engagement orfor an audit of internal control integrated with the audit of an entity’s financial statements, starting with a report example (e.g., an illustrative report from professional standards).”Content: The AUD section of the Exam will see some notable changes for 2018. Our team has been hard at work overhauling relevant course materials to ensure candidate success:
SAS 132, The Auditor’s Consideration of an Entity’s Ability to Continue as a Going Concern (AU-C 570)—Eligible for testing Q1
SAS 133, Auditor Involvement With Exempt Offering Documents (Amends AU-C 560 and 925) —Eligible for testing Q3Good luck,

D.O.ParticipantHello everyone,
My name is Dave and I hope to take AUD for the first time during the first of December. I studied on my own using Wiley/Rigos textbooks and attempted to pass FAR a few months back and was unsuccesful.
I've learned the hard way that having a framework/overall plan for my studies and making sure I am studying the most up to date information is crucial. As such, I am excited to be trying the Roger CPA Review Course for the AUD section. I signed up last week and their customer service was so quick and responsive! So far, I like the planning tool they provide where you can map out your entire schedule for studying for each section of the exam depending on whether you aim to take all sections within 3 months, 6 months, etc. I look forward to answering the questions posted here by fellow users, learning from you all and sharing more of my experiences with the the Roger CPA Review Course/studying in general with all of you!!!

D.O.ParticipantHey Reema,
I see posted a couple of multiple choice questions which you needed help with. Unfortunately I just started my studies this week so I can provide much insight. However, I signed up for Roger CPA Review and I like the fact that they provide Interactive Practice Questions (“IPQs”) which give you the correct answer and an explanation as to why it is correct but almost just as important, a full explanation as to why an answer in correct is provided as well. I'd imagine other study materials or maybe even some materiala offered by Another71 may have something similar, but I thought that was a cool aspect of how Roger CPA Review reinforces and enhances your understanding of important concepts testdd on the exam. Good luck woth your studying!!!!

ineedthiscpa45ParticipantHello I just recently took BEC 10/26 & Scheduled Auditing for January 29. I have one question pertaining to the main material i use. Is Wiley a good choice for my primary test bank? I happen to by all my text books online (Roger CPA review books) and i see no point in paying $500 for a whole review course when i'm halfway there with the textbook. So any recommendations as far as primary test material would be great.

rwglapalmaParticipant@tramainerobinson45 If you already have a textbook I would just spend the $127 to get the Scout Ninja package. You get the mcq and sim practice which is crucial and then you also get the notes which I think are a big help, even if you only use them during your review. Either way good luck to you and everyone else, I'm scheduled for the 27th of November and am already so sick of AUD.

ineedthiscpa45ParticipantOkay so here's my final plan. I'll buy ninja's Scout package for audit but I'll use Wiley as a supplemental. Speaking of Wiley has anyone used them for Audit and has it been resourceful? I've used Wiley for BEC but found that the MCQ had little to nothing to do what was on the actual exam. Any advice about using Wiley would be great!

ineedthiscpa45ParticipantAw okay, was any specific chapter tested more than others? And good luck!
