It can be done. I studied 13 days but did well on practice exam after 8. Just get into terminator mode, view it like you have nothing to lose, and go for it. With a small timeframe, use logic over pure memorization. Don't bother memorizing transaction cycles, just get a good feel for them and always stress segregation of duties. Just go crazy and fire up 100 question practice sessions and try to dominate. Remember common themes rather than exact details. Always picture the logic/rationale behind a rule, cause remember every audit rule was arbitrarily created by humans like us. So logic does factor in a lot. If an answer seems too extreme for a rational person, it probably is. Always consider choices with words “material”, “reasonable” etc. know certain things that always seem like a good idea like reading minutes of board of directors meetings(what can't you learn from that?)

So… Go for it like you are abayas, shoot for the stars, fight for each question and see where you are when the dust settles. I promise you will gain something from this, even if it's just a jump start on your retake.

Just came out of my first take of AUD. Compared to FAR, it felt much more comfortable to me. I only flagged 3 questions on the first testlet, 5 on the second, and 5 on the third. If I had to take a guess, Moderate, Hard and Hard which I suppose is a good sign lol. The SIMs were of moderate difficulty, knocked out 3 right away which I felt were easy, 2 medium which I felt good about, and one hard one that has a lot of possible answers so did what I usually do and eliminate and take a best educated guess. The Research problem was confusing to me so I know I got that wrong, couldnt find it in the material at all. Hopefully that doesnt hinder me.

Overall I think I passed! December 9th cant come soon enough, good luck to everyone else!

I just took AUD a few days ago, and this was my first exam. Overall, I felt VERY overwhelmed. I used Becker and Ninja notes and was scoring in the 75-80% range on my practice tests and MCQ's, so I felt OK going into the test and felt like I had a good knowledge on most subjects. I am assuming my questions were getting harder though, because all the ones I was not sure about were very specific and honestly I still can't find most of the answers now looking in my study materials. I am just discouraged because I really won't know how to tackly re-studying for this if I end up having to take it again ( which I am assuming I will). The SIMS were ridiculous too, I only feel fairly ok with 3 out of the 7, so WHO knows. Overall just angry and overwhelmed.

I'm getting nervous. I take my test on Wednesday at 9am. I took a progress test on Becker with 90 questions on Saturday and got a 81%, which I felt really good about. Then I took a quiz on Wiley with 30 questions on Sunday and got a 83%. I was still feeling pretty good about that. Then today first thing this morning I took another Wiley quiz with 30 questions and got a 73%. I was starting to get nervous. So I decided to take another Wiley quiz and got a 67%. Then after lunch I took another Wiley quiz and out a 70%. Should I be nervous about my scores lowering or do you think it is ok because I am close? Also I looked at the answers I got wrong on the quizzes I took today and there were several that my first choice was the correct answer, which really pissed me off.

Question. I just finished another Wiley quiz and had this question:

The audit report of which organization(s) includes section titles?

– International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board

– Public Company Accounting Standards Board

The answer they have is International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board is a yes but Public Company Accounting Standards Board is a no. Isn't PCAOB's report have section titles as well? I just looked at a report in Becker and I think it is the right report and it has section titles. Is it possible that this is an old question?
