The reporting accountant is the person who reports on the application of accounting principles to a specified transaction. The continuing accountant is the external auditor, the person who reports on the financial statements.

    Hi-

Quick questions on the new codification I am using Becker and when doing the research questions I keep finding the answer but then when I look at Becker's Correct answer its a different section..that states the same exact thing. Did anyone else run into the same issue?

I would appreciate any advice, thanks!!

@Scorpian sorry, but trying to connect with people on the forum to create study groups outside the forum is against forum rules for safety reasons.

In what scenario does a review report get modified? I keep seeing “those standards require us to perform ….there are no material modifications that should be made to the fs.”

I know GAAP departure requires modification and in some cases withdrawal if disclosure is not adequate. But is there anything else?

    Thanks!

@avenger That is correct. Departures from GAAP (inadequate disclosure, inappropriate accounting for a change in principle, etc.) are the only thing that would result in a modified review report.
