TEST WEEK!!! I have finished all the chapters and I am starting the final review process… a little behind schedule, but who's paying attention? I have today through Friday to work practice exams, do tons of practice MCQ's, and iron out my weak topics (haven't started working full time yet). I'm already much better off than I was last time – I had a weekend wedding, the wedding was on Sunday, my test was the following Thursday, and I hadn't even completed the chapters yet. I almost had a full on panic attack the day of the test!

This time, I have more focus and more time to prepare. I will NOT have a nervous breakdown come Saturday, because I WILL feel prepared. I will get a good night's rest and have a solid breakfast. And then I will take auditing.

I will then proceed to watch football all day completely guilt-free.

Good luck to everyone preparing! I'm feeling PUMPED UP!

So under the old standards… It was refer to GAAS or PCAOB (if issuer and ONLY PCAOB if issuer) in the scope paragraph.

Under the new standards, is it the same expect for the title of the scope paragraph “auditor's responsibility.”

Do you refer to GASS or PCOAB if an issuer in the new auditor's responsibility paragraph?

    Thank you.

@CPATaxed It's not exactly as simple as changing the title of the paragraph. Under the old standards, the last sentence of the intro paragraph listed the responsibilities of both the auditor and management. That last sentence has been deleted and has basically been split apart into two new expanded paragraphs. But yes, the auditor's paragraph is essentially the old scope paragraph. You refer to only PCAOB when auditing an issuer. If you are auditing a nonissuer but using PCAOB standards, you would include both GAAS and PCAOB. I hope that clarifies!

Can someone please help me out on this compliance audit under GAAS or GAGAS?

I am using Wiley book 2013, in module 5 version 2, page 419, under Audits conducted in accordance with GAAS, under Reporting paragraph, it says “No compliance report is issued ….” But I checked AU-C 935, and Summary of Government Auditing Standards in the back of book, they all say the compliance report will be issued, it could be with internal control over compliance, could be separate report. Or does it mean that no compliance report when material noncompliance is detected? In this case only a report on internal control is issued, is it right? It drives me crazy, I will be appreciated very much for any help!

Wish good luck to everybody taking exam in October!

    AUD:5/30/2013 (74, so close!) 5/2014 (90 first pass!)
    REG: 2/27/2015 (85)
    FAR: 8/2011(64) 4/2012(74) 8/31/2015 (80 finally!)
    BEC: 11/24/2015 Let's do this!

Moving much slower than anticipated through AUD. I was originally planning on taking it on October 18, but I just now reading Module 4 in the Wiley 2013 book. So, I decided to play it safe and scheduled the exam for October 28. Anyone else feeling like it takes longer to work through AUD?

    CPA EXAM: DONE!!!!
    Ethics Course: Passed
    Application Mailed: 3/16/15
    Professional Conduct Exam: 97
    Certification Date: 4/2/15!!!
