@CPAMommyof3 Are you talking about the ratios (current ratio, AR turnover, etc.)? Assuming you are, 20 formulas really isn't that much to memorize. Becker had 31 formulas that were all very straightforward. They probably overlap with the formulas you had to learn for BEC, and you'll have to memorize them again for FAR. I personally don't see the value in focusing on only 4 formulas when the review courses are emphasizing 20-30 formulas. That's learning at most 20%. Granted, I'm very risk averse, so I memorize everything, but that just kinda sounds like cutting corners. I'd memorize them to be on the safe side. Like I said, you'll have to know them for FAR anyway.

@barelystayingsane- Thanks. I had a lot of issues with memorizing formulas for BEC and then didn't really need most of them on the exam. I'm not trying to cut corners, just curious what others think about placing a huge emphasis on formulas. I know my limitations and memorizing everything is an unrealistic goal for myself. Thanks for the input!

Closing out this long day of studying. Read 5 chapters, took at least 20 pages of notes, answered 120 MCQ and 6 SIMS. It has been my most productive day so far and I'm averaging 70-80% on the areas of Internal Control, Planning, Evidence, Risk, and Sampling. I wish all of you with tests next week the best of luck! You can do it! Keep pushing until exam day. You'll do great!!!

Anyone take the Becker Practice Test?

Just took the first one and I got 83/93/83 on the MCQ, and an average of 80 on the sims. Did worse on previous section exams and passed those so I guess I feel good about it… Honestly, though, auditing is SO boring I just hope I don't tire out during the actual exam. Also, 4 hours seems a little much for this material given that there are pretty much no calculations…

    FAR 7/3/13 - 82
    BEC 8/21/13 - 82
    AUD 10/2/13 - 92
    REG 12/3/13 - 88

    DONE!!!! CA Candidate
    Beat the 12/31/13 clock!

@sarita I have not yet but I agree with the time issue. I finished FAR with over an hour and a half left and BEC with an hour. I can't see how this will not be the quickest yet. Most questions take 15 seconds or so and 30 at the absolute most.

    FAR - 84
    BEC - 89
    AUD - 93
    REG - 87

@sarita–I finished the MCQ for the AUD exam in an hour and a half, leaving 2.5 hours for the SIMS. If I had understood more about how to use the Authoritative Literature for the SIMS I would have taken longer on them, but it only took me 1 hour to do the SIMS not looking anything up. I think I'll use the full time during the retake and take advantage of the AL. That is assuming of course that I don't know the answers right away, which I hope I do. ๐Ÿ™‚ AUD is really boring. I have fallen asleep while sitting up reading several times already. I actually have to get up and walk around while reading the book every once in a while just to stay awake.
