What is everyone's trick to the audit transaction cycles? I just now pushed my way through the multiple choice questions and averaged just over 70%. Some of these make perfect sense, and some are completely foreign. I'm afraid of going back through them over and over for fear of memorizing the answers.

That's a good percentage for transaction cycles.

Those questions can ask you a million different things about tags and documents and all sorts of crap so know the basics, there's know way you could know and understand all of those questions becker throws at you.

Hello guys,

I am three days into studying audit and am planning to take the exam in November. This will be my first test in over five years. I have been a butcher at whole foods for five years, so I need the CPA certification to get back into accounting.

I am planning to make flashcards for most of the Becker book in the next two weeks and spend a month and a half doing multiple choice questions and flashcard review. I used to be an auditor so I can visualize the audit process well. If I get through all the Becker questions a couple of times I will buy the Wiley test bank for audit. Also considering the ninja audio for my car but I don't know too much about it. Anyways I wish everyone luck.

@JTS254 read that section again after you've finished all the MCQ's. Most of it will start to make perfect sense (ie the tracing and vouching), but there are other little assertions that are just going to require some memorization (debt and equity, etc.)

- passed all 4 exams on my first try using Becker!

@JTS254 and @3Down1ToGo I am DEFinitely struggling with Becker A4… aka assertions and transaction cycles. I wish I could say I was getting in the 70s. Mostly I got in the 60s… I will definitely be focusing a lot on that chapter in my cramming. Reading aloud, notecards… whatever it takes. Besides re-reading the notes, any more advice?
