AnonymousInactive@gt5717b–Three kids 4 and under and working full time. It's a nightmare trying to study and make sure they get time with mommy. It was a LONG summer being apart from them so much. I've tried studying in the house with them and that was a big mistake. That's the main reason I'm having trouble getting back into the swing of things. My two week break to spend as much time with them as possible has turned into 3 weeks. Now that I have the Ninja notes downloaded onto my Nook and the Audio on CDs for my 45 minute car ride to and from work every day and my Ninja flashcards on my phone I'm ready to go full force starting Friday. We can do this!!!!! I just have to remind myself constantly that the sooner I'm done, the sooner I can spend as much time as I want with them. Good luck to you!

lmendez2MemberCPATaxed- I believe it is implicit on the new standards but explicit on the old standards so the question (during the actual exam) should be giving you a date like “June 2012” to make it clear that they are testing on the old standards, I did notice that Becker did not do this for some of the questions and the only reason you know they are asking about the old standards is because you are doing the homework for that section.
Per new standards – Implicit (auditor report: the auditor considers internal control relevant to the entity's preparation and fair presentation of the financial statements)
Per old standards – Explicit (auditor report: the audit included examining evidence on a test basis)
Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong but that is the only way I was able to answer those questions on Becker

gt5717bParticipantI hear ya. Ours are 5 and under including three under 2. I am able to study at work some which helps a lot, but the bulk of my studying occurs after 9pm. I hope to be done with these last 2 tests by Thanksgiving.

AnonymousInactiveThanks so much for the response. That must be the case with a difference between the old and new standards. Being tested on both sets of the standards is such bs.

10keyLeahMemberMaybe someone can answer this real quick….
Do government audits require an opinion on internal control? (like PCAOB?)

mo_dubanMemberHello I haven't been on here in a while but I wanted to ask a question to those that use Ninja Notes. I think Becker is a lot of information and I need something that lays it down in lay mans term as 1down said and is simple and easy to read. I completed all the homework for Becker didn't do to fantastic but I did it with only watching the videos so I am about to re read the book and then redo questions. My problem is BECKER IS OVERWHELMING.
Btw I thought Audit Evidence was bad ohh Boy was I wrong.. Audit Sampling is going to be the end of me in this exam because its not sticking guys. With Audit Evidence if i restudy I know I will get it but Sampling yea that isn't going to happen. Am scared

mo_dubanMember10key from what I have read and the questions . They don't require an opinion on Internal Control but you to have to mention the scope of internal control testing. An opinion is required for Compliance. You also have to have a section for Internal control over compliance but I don't remember them having an opinion in that section. I may have read wrong tho.

10keyLeahMember@mo_duban – thanks for your response about gov internal control.
Audit sampling has been hard for me to grasp too. There are a couple of videos on youtube I found helpful – one was made by Jeff. I'll be happy if I just have the basics of it down by exam time.
