I scored a 73 on AUD my first go-round. I was weaker on MCQs but stronger on SIMs. I'm drilling MCQs and am all over the place even though I know I've increased my knowledge considerably since the previous test. I won't feel confident at all until I'm hitting in the 80s on the Wiley practice tests, though. Hopefully, that happens soon, because I re-take the exam Oct. 4.

I hate AUD.

@gt5717b–What is your secret on the SIMS? I don't know how to study for them or how to use the authoritative literature properly during the exam.

@CPAMommyof3, I honestly have no idea. My personal theory is that I have a very good higher-level understanding of AUD which lends itself well to SIMs while my detail-specific knowledge was lacking which hurt me on MCQs. Also, RTFQ probably killed me, as it does on my practice sessions with Wiley.

BTW, I have 4 kids myself and finding time to study is definitely a challenge, so I completely empathize with your situation (assuming your kids are younger).

Does anyone have the Becker desktop app that you use? If you open the A2 ebook, is the first section, Quality control standards missing? I just noticed today that it's missing and there are additional passkeys in the chapter that isn't in the book. FYI, I'm using the Audit B book and the Audit B software.

Does anyone know for sure if this is EXPLICITLY or IMPLICITLY stated in an unmodified report on comparative F/S.

Becker gives me this question 4 times in a progress test and one time it says that it is implicit but the other 3 says explicit.

@gt5717b–Three kids 4 and under and working full time. It's a nightmare trying to study and make sure they get time with mommy. It was a LONG summer being apart from them so much. I've tried studying in the house with them and that was a big mistake. That's the main reason I'm having trouble getting back into the swing of things. My two week break to spend as much time with them as possible has turned into 3 weeks. Now that I have the Ninja notes downloaded onto my Nook and the Audio on CDs for my 45 minute car ride to and from work every day and my Ninja flashcards on my phone I'm ready to go full force starting Friday. We can do this!!!!! I just have to remind myself constantly that the sooner I'm done, the sooner I can spend as much time as I want with them. Good luck to you!
