    @10key – PCAOB reviews firms that audit public companies. If a firm does not audit public companies, peer reviews must be done by the AICPA or another agency I can't remember the name of right now.

    Hi fellow NINJA's. I'm studying with Bisk for the Auditing section. Can anyone give me suggestions on ‘how to' pass this exam. I am so nervous and scared. After reading all of the posts, I have mixed emotions. Some people totally blow it out the water and some don't. Please offer suggestions. THANKS!!!

    @Imberrytoo – I'd suggest that you check out the ‘aud exam experience' thread and also the official ‘i passed AUD' thread. Both offer great info about what it takes to pass.

    Second, don't get caught up in all the little details. Understand the entire picture. AUD connects with FAR materials. I didn't fully understand this second point and it cost me on my first try.

    @Imberrytoo – are you just using the book for Bisk or an online course as well? For my first attempt at AUD I just used the Bisk book and I felt ready to take the exam when I went in. I read the entire book and took notes on my own and answered the questions in the book, but I didn't have any online test banks for answering questions. I failed with a 62.

    Also like 10key said, there is a connection between FAR and AUD and I also did the same as her and didn't do FAR before AUD. I'm currently doing a little bit of FAR and my restudy for AUD.

    I found a quote that I love! I thought I would share with y'all.. maybe it will help motivate at least one more person ๐Ÿ™‚

    “Commitment means STAYING loyal to what you said you were going to do long AFTER the MOOD you said it in has LEFT you”

    {R: PASSED!! (I passed one!)}
    {B: PASSED!! (Halfway there!)}
    {F: PASSED!! (1 left!!!)}
    {A: PASSED(I am done!!)}

    Hi all, I'm new to this site and I just have a quick question. Audit is the reason why I'm not a Cpa. I passed Far,Reg, and Bec 6 years ago. I got a 74 in Audit then had some family issues and ended up losing my credits on the other 3 parts. I used Becker for everything but I don't think it helped me a lot with Audit. I'm not an Auditor so this time around I'm taking Audit first. I read on another website that Roger CPA is the best instructor for Audit. Do you guys know if this is true? Last time I studied for Audit I spent about 3 months studying,so I think there must be something better than Becker at least for Audit.

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    @Giacarlo – It's difficult to say which one is the best for AUD. Many pass using Becker, and some don't. Many pass using Yaeger, but I failed my first try. I wouldn't say it was Yaeger's fault – I just didn't understand well enough. If Becker wasn't right for you for AUD, check out sample videos for Roger or Yaeger. Maybe consider supplementing with ninja materials.

    @Geee – here's a link that explains allowance for doubtful accounts: https://ccba.jsu.edu/accounting/BADDEBTS.HTML

    It's an estimate of accounts that won't be collected.
