@Lexi Well, the only other lectures after sampling are reports, so if nothing has clicked so far I'd be a little worried. What are you having trouble with? I found some of the chapters like prof. resp to be especially boring, but I don't think any of the chapters are incredibly difficult to grasp. The hardest part is memorizing all the different types reports, in my opinion.

@Lexi Oh, good I thought you meant everything so far lol. Let me know if you need help on sampling. I found that section to be pretty intuitive.

How are you approaching his IPQ? Do you do 30 questions/quiz after you complete the entire section? If so, what have you been scoring because my scores have ranged from 60s into the 90s. Hard to get an idea of how well I'm doing with such a large difference.

    @Jeff A!!

@Eli Usually yes I go back and finish the questions after the lesson, for AUD though I have moved on to the next chapter even though I didn't finish all IPQ's but I keep going back to them to keep the concepts fresh in mind and because there are so many questions on some chapters and yes my scores are from 67 to 90's…hard to go by those

    Hi everyone!

I'm scheduled to take AUD on July 7th. This is probably my 5th time with AUD, but first time that I'm seeing the studying process through and truly buckling down…fingers crossed!

Currently I'm having trouble getting over the 60% hump; it seems every group of MCQ's that I do I end up with 60% – any tips or advice??

    Thanks!

@eabram I don't want to worry you or anything, but you should really be hitting, at the very minimum, 70-75% mark every time. Anything below that tells me you may not understand the material as well as you think you do. This may be a sign you need to go back and relearn a few key concepts. This is my second time with AUD and right now I'm averaging in the 80s every time. This time around I really focused on understanding the concepts when I was watching the lectures rather than trying to memorize everything.

Why aren't you scoring in the 70s and 80s? It could be for a number of different reasons. Are you sure you understand the material? This is probably the most likely answer. Or maybe you are rushing through the questions and not reading them thoroughly? You really need to slowly read the questions on this exam because they intentionally try to trip you up with key words. Maybe try this the next time you attempt mcq. Try process of elimination and justify to yourself why each answer can't be right because of x,y,z. This is a good method to help narrow it down to one or two so you can make an educated guess if you don't exactly know the answer.

Thank you @Eli ! I think some of it is rushing through the question and the other part is not having a firm grasp on the concepts. I've gone back and honed in on the sections that I'm struggling with and it looks like 3 sections are between 80-90%, two sections between 70-80% and one below 70% so I'll make sure I focus on those lower ones. Thanks!

Can someone help me with this question?

An accountants standard report on a compilation of a projection should NOT include a statement that:

A: The Compilation was performed in accordance with Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services

B: The accountant has no responsibility to update the report for future events and circumstances

C: The hypothetical assumptions used in the projection are reasonable in the circumstances

D: There will usually be differences between the actual and projected results

The correct answer according to Becker is C. BUT my question is, why isn't answer A also incorrect? Isn't a projection applicable to SSAE? Not SSARS? Becker textbook says a compilation should state SSAE as well (bottom of page A5-43 for those who have the new textbook).

    Thank you for any help!

I did try to log in to my Audit Ninja MCQs account and it shows ‘Runtime Error' page. Would it be possible to know by when this could be fixed? Trying to get started for Audit retake in Aug 2017.

    FAR: 53, 48, XX (retake 6/16)
    REG:
    BEC: 53

Less than a week until I take my exam! Feeling pretty comfortable with the material (knock on wood)–averaging low to mid 80s in ninja so I think that is a good sign. How's everyone else studying going?
