Taking Aud on the 22nd…… I'm a bit shaky on navigating through the AL…anyone have tips or how to best search through it besides the obvious practicing? Or have keywords to get to certain places/literature in the AL.

vital11- Searching the authoritative literature is like doing a Google search. Use the best search terms you can and skim through the material. You will eventually find the applicable section. Also, the search within results button is your best friend.

Possible dumb question but, I'm testing on the 31th of this month.

I have done every question in my 2012 Wiley book for Audit, Except for module 5 Reports. I was wondering if i should not do the questions relating to non-issuers on in that section? (assuming most of the questions of reports are going to be on the new clarity standards)

    FAR - 44, 63, 65, 77
    BEC - 57, 77
    AUD - 68, 62, 71, 89
    REG - 66, 79

    CA Ethics: 94

A setback is a setup for a comeback

mrsimple- I would recommend reviewing everything. They may be a little slow to add the new clarity standards, so you may see a lot of old questions.

I can't remember who said it, but on one of the other topics, someone said “what's the best way to make sure an item is on the exam? Don't study it.”

I took audit July 31st and didn't see many clarity standard questions. However, study everything you don't want to chance it.

@mrsimple – Assuming you're working with the module version for post-June-30, I'd do all of them. Wiley's weighted them in accordance with the weight they expect for issuer vs non-issuer. I can't remember how issuer vs non-issuer was weighted in my exam, and I couldn't tell if I did, but I would still study whatever is in there!

@vital11 – Like @auslaf said, just treat it like a single-term/phrase Google search. For quicker searching, try to pick the most unique term related to the topic. Or try to break down, piece-by-piece, using the “search within”. Like if you were searching for a chocolate chip cookies recipe, “chocolate chip” would bring up a lot of things, but if you searched “chocolate chip” and then searched within that for “cookie”, that'd get you a lot closer…and then you scan the results to see which are triple-chocolate cookies with chocolate chips, and which are just plain chocolate chip cookies! Same concept. If there's one term that gets directly to the item, go for it (like “eclairs” – that'd be a pretty specific search!), but if not, take it in steps using the “Search within”.

Hello fellow AUD test takers. I am currently studying AUD to take it OCT hopefully Mid OCT. I am currently using Becker and honestly it hasnt been to bad. I am actually enjoying what I am reading HOWEVER when I got to Chapter 5 Sampling I started crying. I don't get it and now am close to freaking out. Attribute Sampling and Variable sampling its not clicking guys and I don't know what to do. I am thinking I do as i did with BEC and cost accounting PRAY AND PRAY I don't get a lot on it. I mean it worked for BEC so why can't it work for AUD right 🙂

Do you guys have any tips to help with getting this whole Attribute and Variable sampling section

    Hello All,

I am having difficulties with the audit simulation research questions. I usually do well on these questions. My issue is that i have done several questions now and my answers are not correct according to becker which sites AU- C ( US Auditing Standards – AICPA Clarified) instead of AU which is the source i have been using. Does anyone know if this is something that has changed since July 2013.

    Thanks

    BEC - PASSED
    REG- PASSED
    FAR - PASSED
    AUD- 08/27/13
