I think it's from the date of the audit report…cause that's the date that the auditor has control over; the report release date is the date that the client sends out their financials, so it'd make more sense to have it be from the date of the auditor's report. But I don't specifically remember reading that anywhere – that's going based on judgement.

Thanks Lilia for your reply to my question.

I agree with you about the audit report date.

But I am just confused with this information I wrote under my compiled AUD By Numbers Notes:

60 days > While it is recommended that the written communication of control deficiencies be made by the report release date, a window extending 60 days beyond date is acceptable.

60 days > The auditor must communicate control deficiencies to mgt. in writing within 60 days of the report release date.

18 days until my AUD retake and I need to make each day count. I still have 2 chapters to do notes on, I'm almost done with one. I started on questions for another chapter (jumping around a little or I'll get bored). Goal is to do all the book questions with a week left and then reread notes and do a bunch of online practice sessions. Feeling positive about this retake so far. Info seems to click better this time around.

    REG - 5/29/12 (64), 10/1/12 (74), 5/20/13 (75, expires 12/31/14)
    FAR - 8/14/12 (64), 8/5/14 (75)
    BEC - 11/19/12 (70), 2/25/13 (72), 11/21/13 (73), 1/21/14 (73), 8/30/14 (72), 11/24/14 (75)
    AUD - 4/22/13 (65), 10/12/13 (79)

    I'm done!!!

    Hey Mia,

I know you just wrote your exam, would you suggest I focus on some FAR materials (contingencies/journal entries…) or am I set with those samples/ratios/FOB stuffs in terms of calculations for SIMs?

Apparently most people said SIMs were almost as foreign from what they studied.

    Thanks.
