PHEW i did not see them in my studying, and i have done almost all of the becker sims. I am doing fine on the multiple choice but clam up on the sims. In using becker I have tried to look up the sims on the AL but have never really had any luck. guess I just need to keep doing them! mia, congrats on being 3/4th finished in the process! that is awesome!

i am only 25% done, and it is worse than not passing any of the exams yet because the 18month window is ticking/ticking/ticking!!

@Mia I memorize them, too, if I go through them more than once…so my goal is to answer all questions once, and then re-answer any that I got wrong. It's not nearly as many MCQ as if I did them multiple times, but I know that I just memorize the answers otherwise. 😐 And if it makes you feel any better, I only did a couple pages of re-writing the notes…I always intend to do that, since it's so useful for most people, but I never get far with it. So, I'm 80 MCQ from being done with them, and then will probably go through some SIMs to round out my day. Or grab my book and re-read on my weak areas…that's what I really should do, but because they're areas I don't like, it's also what I really don't want to do! Oh! And I'm going to do the AICPA released questions ( https://apps.aicpa.org/CBTeSampleTest/SampleTestInstPreMet2.html ) which I'd almost forgotten about. Will go do that now… How's your studying going?

@mags603 Don't let the SIMs scare you too much – just take it slow and figure it out. If they're really making you draw a blank, I'd even grab the Becker book and look up how to do it, just to “prove” to yourself that you can do it…and then after a few like that, you'll probably be more comfortable to do the SIMs without the book!

mags: thanks. and congrats on that pass! I'm sure the ticking clock will motivate you to destroy the rest of the exams. When I'm not comfortable with doing sims, I don't do them. I just look at the answers and read all the explanations. Really understand what's going on and hopefully realize I've gone through that topic. It helps me become confident that I could do the next one by myself.

Lilla: I know how you feel about the areas you're weak in. I just reread government auditing today because I know I need to know it. I've been avoiding that topic since day 1 of studying.

To tell you the truth, I feel prepared but it scares me. What if I'm just feeling this way because I didn't study enough? Test anxiety I guess. All the exams I've taken, I've felt very nervous, frantically trying to drill info in my brain to the last hour. Do you feel prepared?

    BEC 82 Nov 2012 | REG 80 Feb 2013 | FAR 76!!! Apr 2013 | AUD 69 May 2013 | AUD 83!!! Aug 2013

Done!! Thanks Jeff & A71 friends!

@Mia I am the same way with feeling over-prepared! I almost wish I felt under-prepared so that I'd be more motivated to study and feel more like I had a fair assessment of where I am at. I don't feel like I could honestly be over-prepared, but I still feel over-prepared… Trying to make myself keep going through the steps to prepare anyway. I did alright on the AICPA sample test, which is not helping the over-prepared feeling at all!
