Thanks Eliabraham, I cant stand that Wiley book, but will make sure to read it before the exam day

650 MCQs? wow I seriously cant do more than 100 a day….I am just an impatient person in general..so thats why I feel like I have hard time getting through a material, I really hate doing MCQ's in Becker

I am taking the exam on August 23rd, but I am also studying for REG which I am taking on August 30th. What about you? Have you tried reading the Becker book?

@Jam 05, you are a monster REG and AUD at the same time. You must have mucho fire because I can't even lift a finger after audit my brain is crying for a time out.

Its not fun reading Wiley but you have to do what you need to do to pass right….

Wow studying for two at the same time, are you taking those two because the NTS is expiring?

You can do more MCQs, what I do is give myself an hour at a time (using a timer app) and open up a notepad on my computer. Whenever I would get a question wrong. I would explain the right answer through typing it in the notepad. That way I don't get bored out of my mind answering question after question… I later print the things I typed and read them over when I have free time.

Wiley is so hard to read but when you follow the read and answer MCQs that the book instructs you to do, it's not as hard because when you get a 90 on those MCQs you feel great.

    BEC 82 Nov 2012 | REG 80 Feb 2013 | FAR 76!!! Apr 2013 | AUD 69 May 2013 | AUD 83!!! Aug 2013

Done!! Thanks Jeff & A71 friends!

@Mia great idea to type explanations into Notepad! My hands hurt if I write by hand too much, so I've just scrapped the idea of notebooks with explanations…but somehow, even though I use Notepad all the time, it never occurred to me to use it for this. lol. So, I will be incorporating that idea into my studying tonight. Thanks!

I would say be familiar with the underlying concepts of risk and do as many sims as you can on some cycles. Learn the best way you can quickly search for the information you need. I even went so far as searching in the AICPA Library because I wanted to see if I could find my way through so much data because thats what they do in the exam you are not limited like the Becker Software then I would compare my solution to the what Becker or Wiley solution. Do the Sample test on AiCPA website never hurts.

Some of the realeased exams. If you have time.

ok idk if I have been reading too long or what but this makes absolutely no sense to me.

    AICPA Code Rule 203-Accounting Principals

A member shall not express an opinion or state affirmatively or negatively that FS are presented in conformity with GAAP if there is any departure from an accounting principal that has a material effect on the FS.

uhh what? isn't the whole point of expressing an opinion is if the FS are present fairly with GAAP?

Yes, if there is a material departure from GAAP that mgmt refuses to fix we issue an adverse opinion or possibly withdraw. In the case of a review no review report is issued.
