@Qlad – go back to your FAR material and learn the ratios. Audit material will only make brief references to them, but there is the large possibility of them being on the exam.

CA CPA - All because of the journey listed below
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    FAR - 53('10), 8/25/12 79 PASSED!
    REG - 66('11), 69('12), 12/06/12 77 PASSED!!
    BEC - 58('10), 74('12), 01/05/13 77 PASSED!!!
    AUD - 43('11), 66('12), 69('13), 74('13) 7/29/13 85 PASSED!!!!!

    Hello everyone,

This might be a stupid question, but please I need help (my exam is tomorrow). on one of my research questions in my becker material, I found an answer under the audit clarified standards and the old one. If I were to face this problem in the exam which one do I go with?

For example the research question was about the content of the letter sent to the client's attorney.

    I found Au-c 501.22 and Au-337-09

    I am confused help!!!!

Old AU will not be there to confuse you. Becker probably has them in there still because it would cost too much to remove them for the test takers after 7/1/13. Good luck!

For ratios I would learn Gross Margin Percentage, inventory turnover, accounts receivable turnover, quick/acid-test, current ratio and other basic ratios. For the turnover ratios the denominator is always in the ratio name. For example, inventory turnover is COGS/average inventory. A/R turnover is credit sales/average A/R. Just have to memorize it. Another to remember is the Quick ratio/acid test ratio. (Cash + accounts receivable + trading securities)/current liabilities. I remember this by CARTS/current liabilities. It's very important that you understand the effect of one item changing in the ratio. For example if the numerator increases the ratio increases, if the denominator increases the ratio decreases. There are a number of questions in Wiley regarding ratios. If you can't find the ratio in your book look at investopedia.
