Wrister – The Wiley site has this statement: “On 6/4/13 the Wiley CPA Exam Review Online Test Bank was updated to cover the Clarity Standard testable on July 1, 2013” So I assume clarity standard questions are available Tuesday 6/4

my understanding is Wiley will be updated this weekend. Either way, everyone please remember that the old SAS are still testable so you need to know both the old and new clarity standards.

After failing with a 71 in april I am ready to have a second chance with AUD. It is by far the least intriguing of all sections in my opinion.

Crazy as it may seem…it has been difficult to get motivated even though this is my final exam. Needless to say, I am starting AUD again this weekend and am going to study like I have never seen it before.

One key i will give to everyone for AUD is RTMFQ!!!

Hey jsmithsae, thanks for that info. I have a couple questions if you don't mind.

My situation/test status is similar to yours. As you prepare for your rematch with AUD, are you trying anything different? I'm retaking AUD in July and am supplementing my Wiley books and Ninja notes/audio with Wiley testbank. I also plan to focus on hard on the new clarity standards.

Also, do you have a link that points to AICPA's statement that both the old SAS's and new Clarity standards will be tested. There's a lot of different info out there, and I'd feel better with some official documentation.

@GodsSport…i added WTB for additional questions. Taking more notes, rewriting those notes, etc. I honestly thought i passed AUD in april. Got my score release and i did well on MCQ's and not so well on SIMS. So I am just trying to grasp everything better.

I received a notice from Becker that they were notified in march by the AICPA that the old SAS, report formats, etc. will be tested for the foreseeable future and that we, becker students, needed to know both and print out the additional material since becker had already printed two separate books.

Also, Jeff's updated NINJA materials state the same thing so my guess is the AICPA notified all the course providers.

Thanks guys. Glad I can still use Wiley test bank. But I have been doing horribly in practice, so I may buy another source of problem sets. While it's about half the material of FAR, the questions can be way out there. You may know the concepts but they'll ask questions in ways that confuse you, or questions that force you to dig so deep into your memory….or provide answer choices that are almost indistinguishable from each other. At least with FAR you can work towards an answer and feel better about it. AUD has been the most troubling for me.

jsmithsae, Yeh I'm preparing for both SAS and clarified auditing standards. I don't understand why AICPA would not address that in a notice or in the CSO's. But you're right that the course providers are all providing the same direction.

I'm sticking with my core approach for my AUD rematch, but supplementing with WTB. This worked well for me when I passed FAR and BEC. Just need to hunker down and better grasp the AUD material. Also had a lot personally going on during AUD preparation, but hopefully life will be calmer.

According to the perf. report, I nailed the sims, but was weaker on MCQs. I need to dig deeper into the full audit cycle, planning through reporting.

I have beem studying for auditing since last year, failed once in jan and just retook it. I'm not sure if I passed but just so I know..how much did auditing change? Am I going to have to study everythimg from scratch if I fail? Or is ot just the first 2 cjapters? I'm very very nervous thinking i might have to study from the beginning. .someone please let me know

Can somebody explain to me the difference between an attestation engagement, an attestation service, and an examination?

I get very confused sometimes once Becker starts referencing items like Internal Control over Compliance, Internal Control over Financial Reporting, and other items that SEEM like engagements, but don't fall under the Compilation/Review/Agreed Upon Procedures section.

So confused.
