Hiya Qlad,

It depends on your CPAreviewer. I use Rogers so i am speak about how Roger does it.

Each Chapter is a build up from the previous Chapter.

So what Roger does is first he gives you the foundation about Auditing and what is the purpose of doing an Audit, he goes through Independence GAAS QC and shows how they are linked to each other. Then moves on to Audit procedures and the elements and so on….

So I would say if you don't understand your first lecture videos then you are going to have a hard time as you go along. Everyone is different on how they absorb information. Some can read and it makes sense. Some just need to listen once and it makes senses. Most i think listen and then do sample questions. When they see they are getting it wrong they will read the book and re-listen to the lecture.

My personal preference of teaching method is Rogers. He is super energized and does give you a very logical way of thinking about it. Plus his “jokes” make you laugh and at same time remember oh ya i remember he was joked about situation..

@insiyah24…thanks for the guidance…i am using becker for lectures… and wiley test bank…thinking of buying Ninja notes….the way Becker is doing..i'm not able to grasp…he is jumping from GAAS to GAAP every 1-2 min…and that is confusing…hopefully Ninja notes will be better option for me ….

I did AUD first time with Becker and I didn't get it. I did with Roger then i didn't study enough. Last time I screwed up on the SIM on a question i should have never gotten wrong. My brain went on vacation at the wrong moment.

I think it more about how Becker presented it for me. It was boring and it didn't give me the bigger picture + didn't link the topics for me as I went through the material.

I really think it comes down to each persons personality. The silly comments help me because his power talks keep you focused through the lectures.

I love how he made me remember – audit evidence. It is funny when you hear him say it. He said auditors need to keep a skeptical mind therefore when you go home to your spouse – They say “I love you”, and your response should be, “you do? I need sufficient appropriate, collaborative audit evidence to support your assertion that you love me.” 🙂

It is silly but guess what! – I keep telling my husband that every time he tells him he loves me!

Yes I am referring to Ninja Audio 🙂 They are MP3 files that you can put on the ipod or burn then on a CD and play it in your car. Very handy when you are someone that has to squeeze in every min in the day.

I am also going to get the Ninja Blitz.
