@Insiyah: Before I got the AUD Wiley Phone App, I'd probably do about 60-90 questions a day after work. Now that I have the app, I can do questions literally all day. Since I commute to work, I get about 20 minutes of MCQ sessions in the morning. Then at work I leave my app on and occasionally knock out a few questions periodically throughout the day. At lunch, I use my entire hour lunch to do questions. And then the commute home. By the time I get home, I've already done 100+ questions.

When I get home, I write in my notes all the wrong answers and confusing stuff from taking questions all day. And once I'm done with that I do more questions! Lol. So now I can do roughly 200 questions a day.

On weekdays, for some reason.. I'm not nearly as time effective with MCQ's. I spend more time doing other types of studying like Final Exams, reading the book and reviewing, memorizing formulas/mnemonics, etc.

    FAR: 50, 76!
REG: 74... (ouch baby, very ouch), 76!
    AUD: 65, 91!?
    BEC: 80! Aaaand doneskies!

    May 2012 to August 2013. Can't believe it's over.

wow, @InfernoOmni, 200 MCQ a day plus work, that's pretty impressive. I don't have a job and I try to do around 150 per day. I've went through 2,100 MCQ's for AUD. I'm hoping that will be enough to get me through tomorrow.

Pretty Good Inferno! I drive to work so i can't do anything but listen to the Audio notes 🙂 Hmmm so weekdays i manage 72 MCQs after i get home and then my head hurts.

I can't anything done during a work day since i am consistently being bother even during lunch hour.

Weekends I tend to work about 150 to 200. Hmmmmmm I am hoping to have done about the same as you 10Key – 2000 MCQs before the exam. Think I have done about 960ish so far. Have 2 more weeks to go so aiming to be at 2000 by then or more. Depends, some MCQs i swim through and some i practically stare at my screen for what seems like hours…..

    Good Luck !!

I envy jvcpa too! Good luck!

@insiyah24 – you should be able to get pretty close to the 2,000 MCQ with two weeks left.

I'm hoping I won't have to pick up my AUD textbook again after today. I test at 12:30 and it takes me about 1 hr 1/2 to get to prometric. I'm not sure if last minute study helps or not, but I'm going to do it anyway.

I'd say one of the biggest tips/advice I could offer is making sure you understand the audit vocabulary extensively. I feel that AUD throws a lot of different terms around that we may be unfamiliar with (transfer agent, bond trustee, etc.) especially in the Transaction Cycles chapter. If you don't 100% understand a term, look up the definition!

I know it sounds odd, but I have a page or two filled with vocabulary definitions just so that I can completely understand what the question is asking me.

@ Masry – When people in the past have tried to share mnemonics in this forum, it is usually said that they are proprietary of that particular CPA review course.

That being said, what I think works even better is making up your own…! That way, it has more meaning to YOU, and chances are, you will remember it a lot better. 🙂

Give it a try! Best of luck to you!

"Do not give up when you still have something to give... Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying."

Why I am studying for the CPA exam: First it was business...now it's personal!!!!! 🙂

Hey everyone, I took the exam! Thanks for the good luck and I understand your envy! I started preparing for the CPA exam by taking additional course-work through a community college in 2009 (graduated in 2006). I passed BEC in April 2010, and it's been long process with many retakes since then. I will be so happy if I receive a passing score in approximately one month. Good luck to all of you, put in the time and you shall prevail!

I took it yesterday too and wrote about it in the AUD exam experience thread. That thread can be helpful to prepare for the exam.

Good luck to those taking AUD in this window. I have no idea whether or not I may have passed so I may be back in the AUD study thread in the next window.
