I just took my first practice exam with Becker:
Testlet #1 – 83%
Testlet #2 – 83%
Testlet #3 – 63% (ouch)
Sims Average: 73%
I'm reviewing over the testlets now and the majority of the answers I got wrong were due to me choosing the wrong choice that I narrowed down between 2 answers. I'm glad because I could eliminate two wrong answers, but I'm mad because some of those answers were based of me switching my answer last second, lol. Becker questions are really ambigious sometimes.
One question asks you for one of the basic elements of the auditor's standard report, but the answer has to be an element that is explicitly stated. However, the question does not ask you differentiate between implicit or explicit elements! Really annoying!
But I feel okay about my scores. I think.
Things to note:
– Predecessor auditors need to get representation letters from successor auditors before reissuing an audit report.
– Compilation reports require a Disclaimer? I know compilations have no assurance, but since the report is not an audit I did not think any opinion (including a disclaimer) was necessary
– RTMFQ: Got like 3 questions wrong due to “least likely” questions. That's pretty infuriating.
FAR: 50, 76!
REG: 74... (ouch baby, very ouch), 76!
AUD: 65, 91!?
BEC: 80! Aaaand doneskies!
May 2012 to August 2013. Can't believe it's over.
