    Held for sale?

Do you mean Held to Maturity? Or available for sale? The type of security is important because a reclass will change the numbers in your ratio. There are 3 kinds of securities and each security classifies an item differently based on where it hits on the income statement (OCI, etc.)

The reason why you feel dumb is because this is primarily FAR information, but it's introduced very briefly in AUD.

    FAR: 50, 76!
REG: 74... (ouch baby, very ouch), 76!
    AUD: 65, 91!?
    BEC: 80! Aaaand doneskies!

    May 2012 to August 2013. Can't believe it's over.

I downloaded Wiley questions today in case we lose power from the storms that are going to be moving through the north east. Losing power for a day or two at this point would be a setback for me since I take my exam on July 1st.

Good luck, everyone! I'm listening to NINJA everyday at work (in lieu of music) until my exam!

I just read a facebook post from Wiley and it said they started updating the MCQs June 4 and as of today, June 12, they are all updated. The SIMs are not updated as of yet, they are still working on those and hope to have those out by the 20 (if I'm remembering correctly).

    AUD - 4/3/13-60 Retake 7/2/13-72 Retake 11/13/13-74 Retake 5/14/14
    BEC - 5/30/13-76
    FAR - 2/14/14-79
    REG - 4/4/14

@sarahem Thank you for the update. I starting to get a bit concerned.

Oh really…. so when I speaking to the Tech Rep at Wiley- i was being told the whole truth LOL.

I started doing questions on Gleim and i see they have updated theirs for the MCQs. I am going to try getting all the 2000 questions done and they have like 100 Sim's or something like that for AUD.

I want to see if I can resit this exam on July 1. Depends on if there are any appointments available….. still waiting for my NTS before I can make the appointment with Prometric

@insiyah24 – Don't forget while the material may be new, there are no released questions from the AICPA about the clarity project either. So any new questions that are in any system from the Clarity project are written by the editors for what they think the exam is going to test us on. This is just a topic that you will have to know the information from from your review material. The questions that may be there, may not even prepare you for the exam because no one has seen these questions before.

I agree with @clarissa. I believe there will be pre-test questions mostly on these topics until they know how to gauge whether med/difficult they are.

    Hi Ninjas,

I have a quick question. In the engagement letter, it says that management are responsible for financial statements. Who are those management?

    Thanks!

    AUD - 65, 72, 70, 74, 81
    FAR - 66, 71, 76
    REG - 69
    BEC - 80

When they refer to Management they mean who prepared the Financial statements. So you would say its like the CEO,CFO, Controller etc.

    Hope that helps.

    @InfernoOmni:

Thanks for responding. I double checked, and yes, that is what AICPA solution says exactly, held-for-sale.

For the rest of you guys studying AUD what is your study plan for the material? I've been watching the lectures and trying to take really good notes afterwards and then I'm going to do the MCQs once I've finished all of that.

But I've run into a serious problem because my arm is starting to seriously cramp up to the point that its starting to hurt to write. I'm starting to think I'm going to end up with carpal tunnel or something. I have to do a lot of typing throughout the day and then when I start to study at night and take really extensive notes I'm really hurting by the end of it.

Its gotten to the point that I'm no longer taking notes on the lectures and just trying to make more extensive notes in the book to lessen the strain on my arm.

Any suggestions for how I can best study without extensive note taking? Usually thats my bread and butter in terms of getting the material to stick, but it just doesn't seem possible right now.

I'm sorry about your injury. I feel you. I also have trigger finger on my right middle finger. (I am not so good in giving dirty fingers because of my hand injury:).

Clicking my mouse too much or for so long hurts my right hand so does scribbling so many notes on paper. Thus I alternately type my notes on MS Word. I have 3 sources of reading my own notes–handwritten notes, typed notes & improvised flash cards for each chapter.

Typing notes is the same as writing down notes, I think. I find it equally effective esp. when I type / jot down while reciting the notes on my own words.

I type various kinds of audit reports on computer repeatedly only to erase them all. Then re-type & wipe the reports again.
